considering the upper classmen we are losing, how are you basing your prediction? no

You don't think LSU can win the remaining 3 games on schedule and a bowl game against a BIG 10 team?

Gerry DiNardo would still be coach if he recruited like Miles, had LSU ranked in the top 10 almost every year and won a National Championship

I have read several of your posts and I can say you are one pessimistic little monkey.

no I am just a realist that wants to compete for the SEC title every year. We along with Florida have the best shot of doing this considering everything is equal. Your logic is why we had problems at LSU prior to Saban.

Is that medicore?

I'm pretty sure having the worst defending NC team in the BCS era at 3-5 in the SEC is mediocre. I am pretty sure losing ground to two teams you had begun to dominate with coaches that are 1) the same tenure as your coach and 2) 2 years less time at a program is certainly mediocre.

But hey, trends are only really trends when you have no place to go but up. It's amazing how Florida noticed a trend with Zook (3 winning seasons) yet are paying for it awfully now. Hmmm.

None of the people that are arguing have said fire Miles or any of the other bullshite you guys make up. But your defiance ignoring absolute trends doesn't make you a bad fan. It just makes you dumb.

What a fricking ridiculous argument. It's convenient you take only the last 16 games to support your conclusions. Why not take the last three seasons? Because we kicked arse in 2007 and that's where we have 6 wins and 1 loss that you're not including in your numbers for a 14-9 record. 5 games above .500.

2007: 7-2
2008: 3-5
2009: 4-2

If you're going to take last year and how much it weighs down your numbers, then you need to take 2007 into account. Everyone knows how much last year sucked. It's a biased set of numbers used to support a stupid argument.

But let's play your little game.

What is LSU's record in the last 6 SEC games compared to last year? 4-2 v. 3-5 - looks like an upward trend to me. :omg:

OR

What if we take Alabama and Florida out of the equation for the last 2 years? 7-3

OR

What is our record in our last 3 SEC games? 1-2 :OMG:

OR

What is our combined record in the first 4 SEC games of the year for the last two seasons? 6-2

Point is you can't take a ridiculous premise, skew the numbers to support your conclusion, and then scream "See! I am right!" You can make numbers say anything using your logic

Did Florida compete for the SEC title in 07 with the Heisman winner?

Realist realize that you can want something and it not realistically be capable.....This can't happen every year

You didn't fix anything. DiNardo was fired for less than two years of a trend. But hey, you got good seats in the 90s huh?

we used the last 2 seasons to fire retardo. we are not firing miles this year b/c of the obvious buyout, but if we continue to lose to bama and florida why keep him?

I was thinking something along the lines of recruiting and coaching up talent.

Well how about we take a look at that what have we ranked in last 3 recruiting classes?

Coaching up Talent? You do realize Miles corrected a mistake and fired the Malveto project because he realized this wasn't occuring......

That'd be great. We could watch Alabama in the SEC championship every year. 2 losses is Miles thing, anyway.

But if win next year to both those teams we are 2-2 in the last 4 with them?

See how retarded that is.....

And how did last season turn out for LSU?

He made the hire and he made the fire, only after being forced to do so.

They should have never been hired in the first place.

What are their records this year?

1-17?

what leads you to believe we will beat both these teams. Brantley will be Florida's qb. Granted most of their D will leave early. I say we split with them at very best.

How bout completely losing the team last year and needing a miracle to pull out a win against TROY.

How bout needing a goaline stop to beat MISS. ST.

The fact is LSU will prolly drop 1 if not both games to ARK and OLE Miss.

why??????????/

bc Houston Nutt has frickin dominated miles with far less talent.

and Petrino is 1-0 vs miles and arkansas is like what on a 3 game winning streak vs LSU.

that alone should tell you something about the coaching with the talent advantage LSU has had over those teams.

Then LSU will go to a bowl game and blow out a crappy big 10 team and yall will be like OMG Miles bowl dominance continues.

VS who??? A fallen Miami team?
the most talented lsu team in history vs Notre dame????
Ohio State??
A weak acc team in georgia tech????
next IOWA????

Come on Will, I like you dude but you can't type false statements........No one forced Miles's hand he made the move because the production wasn't there.......

Your above comment was a result of that D.......

I understand your upset but you have to bring rational thought to this arguement.....

ANY SCHOOL that fires a coach for winning 10 games a year! A national title and an SEC championship in 5 years would be considered a laughable organization........Miles can have a 52 wins in 5 years.........52! and thats with and 8-5 season........and be undefeated in bowl games and you want him fired?

Come on.

we are not going to fire him this year. but if he cannot win the big games next year, why keep him?
