Etling can absolutely run what Kiffin likes to do if he's here next year. He's built a lot like Coker minus the NFL arm strength. He can make plays with his feet when he needs to.

I agree with this. With the right coaching and the right system I think Etling can be a solid college QB. Hell I think he could've been solid this year if the O Line would've done their part.

Even without knowing who the next OC will be I feel more confident in the QB position than I have the past few years.

Dude you just joined the board this month. Bye Brennan. The board is for LSU fans.

Agreed, apparently this guy doesnt understand football, we dont like Scott cause he is a hometown boy, he is a hard worker, smart, athletic, good decision maker, and a team player. The right OC will have this guy lighting the field up whether he is 5'10" or not. Brennan does not impress me all that much granted he is good, but Scott who we already have and has had a year of learning the playbook and practicing. If im not mistaking he plucked away at LSU's first team D in the tiger bowl or whatever it is called.

Myles Brennan is most likely two years away from having enough weight on him to start in the SEC. As of now he would be broken in half if he had taken any of the solid hits Etling did.

If Etling is our starter next year, we are in deep sht. He hit his ceiling this year. Scott or one of the True Fresh will start next year no doubt.

Thanks to DE for his toughness but that won't win us games next year. Besides, he should be smart enough to not take head on collisions unnecessarily anyway.

Our success will come at the hands of one of the young guns.

I disagree completely. The system Kiffin ran for Coker relied on Coker being able to hit the deep ball multiple times a game when the safeties creeped up from the quick outs. I do not have faith in Dannys deep ball

Scott + Etling. Myles has a chance to compete.

Danny boy won't be the starter next year. The offense that LSU will run next year will require a mobile QB. Etling is slow as shite.

I got to think Brandon Harris has to be in the mix IF we are going to a spread offense.

Means absolutely nothing, considering he will have 3 OC's his first year on campus.

This is the 10,000th thread on this subject and the answer is still Danny Etling and thank god we have a good qb.
