What road are you driving on and where are you parking for it to take all these hours of traffic and walking 2 miles in from campus?

Any of those roads on the West side of the Stadium.

We'd turn around and try another route, same result.. just nowhere to go

the Bama game last year was said to have an estimated 200k on campus.

And you know what, that sucker was full at kick off

The UF game is not as blockbuster so the motivation to fight the traffic is just not there, that's my take and I am sticking to it.

Make it less hassle to enter and exit, and the fans will be there...on time and will stay

We leave Shreveport at 3 am. Arrive in BR approx 6:30 am. Tailgate all day. Go to game and arrive home around 3 am the next morning. Wake up and go to church at 9:30 am. Some of y'all had no excuse.

Really? Whatever it takes and more. It depresses me that I only get to do this 7 or 8 times a year... no matter what the conditions are.

I'm not going to read all of this whiney and crybaby crap.
LSU only plays a few games a year at home.
You have only so many years to live.
If you are such a spoiled little baby that you can't handle a little inconvenience to see LSU play, then stay home.
It's a few hours on a Saturday. There are over 45 other Saturdays in a year for you to sit home and wallow in comfort. If you aren't man enough to put up with a little discomfort for the joy of being in Tiger Stadium when the band takes the field and plays the salute, I feel truly sorry for the soft little pu$$y that you are.

yeah, I guess the AD's letter to LSU nation is just in response to my whining? I am not really whining, only asking what people find reasonable.

Right now, it's an all day affair...Not everyone can give up that much time for a football game

I can promise you this much, you don't' love LSu more than me...

Living in Houston it's a long weekend for the games. Late games the wife and I can leave 7:00am Saturday and make the game. We then stay over and return Sunday.
Early games we come in late Friday night and stay over both night.
It's a big expense every game. Gas, food, fuel, rooms, parking, and the wife's beverages get expensive.

It been worth every minute, every dime, and the effort it takes. We wouldn't miss it for the world.

We don't give a crap about what chants are yelled, how many people are there, how bad the traffic is...etc. it's all part of the experience and we adjust and smile through it.
There are worse things to be doing, like working. I just remember the days when we had buy tickets at the game or off stubhub just to go.

Oh yea, GEAUX TIGERS!

Driveway to driveway, Houston to BR to Houston, with a boudin stop in Iowa, parking, tailgating, game, traffic, hurricane weather on way home...

19 hours. Would have gladly gone 3-4 more if necessary.

Yo graytiger....who r u fking kidding......I go to the games and try to keep my wits about me when it comes to the traffic and what not....but it is considerably more than a " little discomfort" and " little inconvenience!" might as well say the Titantic was a "little foul up!" I've been heading to DV since the 70's from Shreveport and the traffic/parking/etc seems to have gotten worse every year!

I'll still go and support the Tigers when I'm able but let's at least call what it is.

I will say the logistics are a lot more complicated now
I agree.

Back in the day when the stadium only held upwards of about 68,000 fans, we would leave Thibodaux at 4:00pm, eat at a restaurant on the way, cross the US190 bridge and park in the grass lot near Bernie Moore (without a parking pass) and be in the stadium in plenty of time for kickoff. Games actually started at 7:30 back then. There were times we would come in on Nicholson Dr. and park in the grass lot of what is now Lot 404 (old Lot D). Never had a problem getting in or out. Although the size of the stadium has increased to about 92,000, along with the people that tailgate and do not go to the games, the infrastructure to get people in and out of campus is pretty much the same as it was 35 to 40 years ago.

Today we just leave a lot earlier and plan on staying just about all day. We only get to do this about 7 or 8 times a year so we soak in every minute that we can. Get here early and plan to stay late.

However, just like sands in an hour glass, putting more sand in the glass without increasing the size of the opening will not allow more sand to pass through. It will only take longer to get all of the sand through.

With all of the comments about how hard it is to get in and out of campus, many of which I agree with, what would be the comments of our fan base if LSU proposed to build a new stadium with more parking and better access? Someone needs to take a poll.

We drive from Shreveport Friday afternoon, spend the night, tailgate all day, and spend the night (day or night game) and head home on Sunday. If you love the Tigers, you LIVE like you love the Tigers. There is no sympathy here for those in South Louisiana whining about how "much time it takes to go to a game." If it is important to you, you will make the time. That being said, parking and traffic could be better handled by the administration. Still, empty seats of paid ticket holders are unacceptable. If you don't want to go the game, or can't, for some reason, give or sell your ticket to someone who does!!!!

There is but one Tiger Stadium, building a new one is out of the question especially since we have invested over 100 million in renovations.

Additional investments need to be parking related so that fans can enjoy the day versus arriving and departing tired and frustrated.

I get the whole day thing if people want to do that, but a whole lot of people would like to shorten that experience in half. spending 4-5 hours of the day in your car is not quality game day experience..

You just did the worst possible thing you could have done: Being relevant and realistic to selfish people with no sense and logic.

This, get to my friends house around 7pm friday. Since I don't have my own tailgate anymore we tailgate with my friends company. Usually get their around noon for 7 pm games and 10 or so for 2:30 games, I'm to old for 11 am games so frick them. Left his house on Hoo shoo too around 9:30 this past game and got to the Hayfield right at 11, the cops were the biggest issue.

I'm a season ticket holder and I live about an hour from BR. I start tailgating at 8am for 6 or 7pm kickoff. From the time I leave my house until the time I get home it's about a 17 hour day! AND IT'S ALL WORTH IT!!!

The way I look at it is there are 52 Saturdays in a year and I am gladly willing to give up 6-7 of those days to be part of something I love!

To beat traffic is is usually best to wait for the game to end. Sad isn't it that this isn't far from the truth.
