Is that they did not try to beat Bama with a bunch of goofy trickeration.

They didn't run a bunch of different formations and plays that Bama has never seen before. They didn't try to throw the ball 45 times.

They simply lined up and ran the LSU offense. If you would've told a Bama fan before the game that LSU would rush for 150 yards (really 180 yards if you subtract the losses from sacks), they would've laughed at you.

That offense created several opportunities that unfortunately LSU just didn't capitalize on.

If Canada (and Aranda) sticks around, LSU will be a very dangerous team in the near future.

Fair assessment. Still sucks coming up shirt again, but I saw major progress for the program Saturday night.

When you say progress, what time frame are you referencing?

That's not a very high bar to set.

Yea, Troy sucked. But instead of phoning it in for the season after that, the team is getting better.

Not sure what more could be expected after that loss.

You said it.

Do yall not see that we're now basically celebrating losing by only 2 touchdowns to Bama?

Yeah, and how many teams have been obliterated by Bama? A lot. I'm not celebrating the loss, I'm appreciative of the fight and grit this team is showing when the nation was laughing at them for the Troy loss.

Well to be very plain since it is not possible to erase the Troy pathetic performance and loss there are basically 2 paths.
Fight to improve or play out the string.
At least they are showing fight and improvement.

Still don't know what to think about the future with O but at least they did not quit on the season.

They did quit on the Ms State game and played 3 bad games in a row. That is on the Coaching staff and the Players both.

So LSU as a supposed football power now aspires just to not be obliterated by Bama?

What impressed me in Alexander Hamiltons performance in his duel against Aaron Burr is he showed a tremendous amount of confidence and poise prior to being shot to death in the duel.

Any other historical impressive defeats we can discuss. shite!! Can we stop these posts please.

QB play killed this team. He seems to throw ball to his 1st WR. Instead throwing it deep, he could have thrown to 2nd WR for gain of 20 yards or so. Some pass was up for grabs. LSU will be powerhouse once team gets better QB play and depth.

I didn't like the play calling on first down. Guice up the middle, rinse and repeat just wasn't working.

No, obviously I want to win. But you can't rag on this team for losing to Bama like you seem willing to do when a month ago we were the laughing stock of college football.

Why do the IDIOTS of this board keep saying this? They know it isn't true.

Scott of Dandy's said this this morning and is as good an explanation I have seen to explain why people feel good about the LSU team. It is not being happy about losing by 2 touchdowns, idiot.

But the mark of good coaching is whether or not a team improves and this LSU team has shown great improvement, not just in ability but in confidence. They think they are going to win and that includes the Alabama game. I think that came through in their effort, which was noticeable even while watching on TV. The team is feeding off the head coach

LSU threatened to bust this thing wide open. Difference? Jalen Hurts delivered......Danny Etling didn't. If you're going to play a Saban coached Bama you need all the weapons you can muster.....including a dual threat QB.

Next game please!
