What if 'Pistol' Pete had a 3-point line? A question I know we have all asked

Great read....His college numbers will never be matched and it was all without a 3-point line.

"It must be noted that Maravich did all the above without the aid of three-point baskets. According to Wikipedia, former basketball head coach of LSU, Dale Brown, noted every shot that Pistol Pete Maravich took in college basketball and calculated that Pete would have made an average of 13 three-point shots per game.
If he played under current regulations with the three-point arc set at 5.8 metres (19-foot 9 inches) from the rim, he would have averaged 57 points per game."
Plus, if the 3 point line was there, he probably would have made more of an effort to shoot those, so who knows !

Even better is imagine if he would have played a fourth season. His career points will never be topped, but imagine a fourth year with a 3-point line. He would be close to doubling the points of his nearest competitor.
