That would have given us at least 3 losses that season and bigger question. Would Miles be here today?

We would have had 3 seconds and a stopped clock to kick a FG...

arguing with what IS is foolish.
I get your point, but what has happened has happened.

Nope. There was enough time to kick a FG.

I'm just guessing that if the pass was incomplete we would have probably lined up to kick the game-winning FG.

Just me, but I think I'm pretty safe in saying that's what we would have done.

We would have kicked the field goal. You're welcome.

You asked what would have happenned had Byrd not caught the pass.

Everyone in this thread gave you an answer: we would have kicked the game-winning FG.

There's really nothing to discuss here.

A better what if would probably be something, would Miles still be here if Hester doesn't get one of those 4th downs against Florida in 2007 late in the game? I'd say no.

If Jack Hunt hadn't caught the Bluegrass Miracle, would Derek Dooley be the coach of Tennessee today?

I'm not saying it didn't get a little "dicey" at the end of the Auburn game, but you do realize there would have been time left on the clock had Byrd not caught that pass, right?

Then go back to Tigerbait.

Your opening post doesn't make sense. We wouldn't have lost the game with a dropped pass.

Why is noone here getting your point?
