It's not like fans hate the guy on a personal level. I'd be pleasantly surprised and elated LSU has rediscovered the forward pass

This x1000. No one would be pissed if Jennings turned out to be a stud next year. Theyd be the ecstatic and most ranters will be rushing to be first to say "I told you so".

I don't think him becoming that stud is likely to happen though.

No one will be upset. Everyone will be happy.

There may be (i) debate about what took so long, (ii)posters claiming they supported AJ all along (ergo, they are better LSU fans than the rest of us), and (iii) nervousness until at least the 75% mark of the season that bad AJ will show back up.

But no one will be upset. No one dislikes AJ personally. They dislike his performance at a quarterback. If his performance as a QB improves to the "like a boss" level, all will be happy.

Shut the frick up, seriously. You people are worse than the fans you try to call out.

No one I've seen dislikes him as a person. I just want to win. I think Harris has the better tools to make that happen, but if Jennings lights the world on fire, which I don't think he will, but if he does, I'll be ecstatic. All we need is a game manager who makes the easy throws.

What if Jack Nicklas wins the Masters this weekend , I know he's NOT (well he's not in the tournament) But the odds are about the same if he was.

NOT HAPPENING !!!!

The only boss AJ will be is at Foot Locker ... maybe.

THIS. Some people are so fricking stupid that they think fans would rejoice is Jennings plays poorly again just to prove a point. We want to win. That's it.

I think most people just want SOMEONE to step up, no matter who. The "Harris Cultists" as you call them just have seen that he has more talent. No one's siding with one or the other, just putting their eggs into the basket of who they think can be better. For most, that's Harris. But I think every single person can admit that they'd love to see Jennings "play like a boss," they just don't think it'll happen.

I just want the better QB to play. If that's Jennings, so be it. I just didn't see any signs of progression from him last season.

I think everyone (including myself) just doesn't know what to believe given Miles history with QBs.

Since 2011. So since you've been here since 04 I would say yes?

Agreed. But the question was

"What if Anthony Jennings shows up next season and plays like a boss?"

If he shows up all season like a boss then people will forget about Harris.

And we can't rule out that Slippy might be named the LSU OC, but I'm going to go WAY out on a limb and say that won't happen either

If that happens Harris should get some credit for pushing him to be the best he can be. I still say Harris has more upside physically but Jennings is a gamer. We'll see.

I hope he does. He is a very hardworking and respectable kid. Must have tough skin to put up with the majority of LSU fans
