what i noticed about the Cincinatti team

it's obvious that baseball is not huge at their university. many of their players are local, being from cincinatti with the rest not being from very far away (except the one pinch hitter from Georgia). i'm sure recruiting budgets have something to do with this. but, cincinatti is a baseball town and their local baseball scene is a damn good one (prep, etc).
also,
1- their players were scrappy; they battled, esp their pitchers
2- they didn't try to steal a base, even on Romero (who I would have tested like crazy since it looked like he struggled with getting the ball back to the pitcher)
3- their coach never "tested" his pitchers when they got in a jam, even a minor one. he had the quickest hook I've ever seen. based on his last years team ERA, that may have been wise. I also think he overestimated our prowess at the plate.
4- their catcher is the real deal. I hope we don't try stealing on him until we get some damn runs. that attempt to steal 3rd last night was terrible baseball. NEVER make the first out at third is taught in middle school.
5- their pitchers don't throw many fast balls. also, our guys struggle with junk pitches (altho some of their curves were damn good).

I may be wrong here, but didn't they try to steal early on, and were called out on batter interference? I thought so.

He has the yips getting the ball to the pitcher. That doesn't affect him throwing to second or third.

except when they didn't,countless walks and hits batsmen

False, they tried to steal one early in the game and were called out for batters interference

Disagree, he left that reliever in during the 10th when we tied it up for the 2nd time.

Hard to say, he threw out one guy stealing 3rd. Dumb decision by LSU to run in that situation.

Being a grandad he probably also pronounces it "Sense-uh-nat-UH".
My dad drives me crazy with that. Lol

That early inning steal attempt/interference was when Pap was in the game

Cincinnati's logo reminds me of the Chick Fil A "C"

He knows that. The OP said "they didn't try to steal a base, even on Romero."

You'll have to excuse him.
Ohio wasn't a state when LSU Granddad was in school.
