why are you sitting on the couch holding a hammer?

My tv is on my back porch. There is a tool box on the porch.
Better yet: why are you not?

I hate when people say this. No you have no say so really. You pay to be entertained. Same as you don't have a say so on how a director directs a movie. Pay to go to be entertained or don't. But you are entitled to nothing

100% agree. We are entitled to a nice experience at the ball park outside of the game only.

There are a few outlier situations like that, but ive posted the stats before proving that the small sample size of hitting with risp devalues the stat

I think getting the run in from third with less than two outs is a relevant situational stat, but depending on the game situation even that can be overblown.

Batting average in particular situations, certain innings, or runners on certain bases is just a random number.

I didn't say fans have a say. I said they can say what they want. There is a big difference. It's part of the game to discuss it, even if you have no idea what the hell you are talking about.

That everyone posts a new topic when the team is trailing 4-0 in the first, but nobody will post a topic when the team wins 22-9.

I know! Jordan (or anybody really) swinging at the first pitch after a walk is quite infuriating. If the pitcher is having problems, don't help him out.

Oh my god our bats suuuuuuuck
Our bats are very inconsistent. That bothers me. I think a lot of it has to do with CPM's recruiting and playing style. He doesn't like big heavy hitters (even though that got him a trophy in '09) and he likes the small-ball game.

That's fine and well, but it just doesn't seem to have been very effective the past several seasons. (Before you say anything about rankings, look at my signature image. )

Oh my god our pitching suuuuuucks
Again, they are very inconsistent. That happens; however, I think a big problem with our pitching is the lack of solid depth - not to mention that I've never seen a CPM team with a strong 3rd starter.

I know I know... 2009... blah... cackle cackle. Remember in '09 we had a confident 3rd guy, a handful of reliable guys to come from the pen, and the freshman phenom Ott to close down all those games. (Not to mention that hitting 100+ home-runs and scoring nearly 600 runs helped replace any holes in the pitching staff.)

This is to say that I think most of the problems people are bitching about are the solvable problems - things that CPM should have a better handle on. Players are human and will have bad runs from time to time, but CPM teams feel like he dancing on a razor's edge with no buffer (be that buffer power hitting or deep pitching).

Just my humble opinion.
