what happened with Crowton?

Les was open to the spread concept and we won a BCS championship with it. Why is Les so against it now? Why did he drive Crowton away? Why implement the bowl offense and abandon it when it works? Why hype Charknado then lock it up. Why? why? why?

Jarret Lee threw a ton of pick 6's in 2008.
Les decided he could not let a QB ruin his career and put handcuffs on any qb development or offensive creativity

It really does seem like Les has never recovered from that. Like he has mental block.

Crowton and Les thought Andrew Hatch could be an SEC qb.

He's now the OC at Stephen F. Austin

Just think how good Matt Damon must have been at LSU.

He had no rings (stroke) before Crowton was hired.
After Lee a freshman had several pick sixes and also several 300 plus passing games people forget about. Old Less with a puffed up chest and fat ring on his finger said seeee I told you so ball control at all cost is still the name of the game!
We went from a Houston style offense where we stretch the LBs side line to side line and draw safeties in the box then bust them over the middle with our now glorified line man to all safe plays behind the line of scrimmage mixed with the toss dive.
Think about that, you draw the D in and stretch them out but you never go deep over the middle. I felt bad for Crowton!!!

There was also the constant issue of Crowton's more spread formations being forced to exist with the Miles I-form shite late in Crowton's tenure.
They were always running drastically different personnel packages on and off the field and as a result they were unorganized as hell. It was always like fire drill.
