Know he was arrested a few years back, never heard what happened to the charges.

If he is there to sign something you purchase, why do you think he has any interest in talking to you? From your post it seems like you feel you are doing him a favor in speaking to him.

He had talent. He had a lot of it. But the knee injuries and run-ins with the law got in the way of "what could of been" for him

I remember him well. He had that awesome cutback run for a TD just before the half the last time we played. Damn good ball player.

I felt like Barrington Edwards was the better running back in that class.

Alley is one of my favorite players to put on the purple and gold. He was such a hard runner.

He came back from the injury. He got caught in the transition between Saban to Miles.

Saban puts in a back until he needs a rest. Miles came in & started using him as a short yardage specialist, and rotating in a young Charles Scott & Keiland Williams. Alley was much more effective when in for at least a whole series. Coaching changes can be beneficial or detrimental for veteran players.
