I for one am excited to have someone with that much experience at the highest level on our staff. BUT With tht being said. Do we really believe Les will just hand over the play calling? Do y'all really think that CC is that great of a coach given his average record? How do y'all see this panning out? Tell me what y'all think and know about the guy.

Just another scapegoat for Miles' offense.

CC will be run out of town in 3 years and Miles will get to hire yet another OC. All because no one has the balls to hold Miles' accountable for his offense.

But hey, let's pump some sunshine for this year's damaged goods OC!

I see it culminating in many many National Championships.

Not 1, not 2, not 3...you get the point.

If CLM keeps his nose out of it we will be very good for years to come.

Too soon to tell.
Anyone who says differently is speaking from the heart, not the head.
CC seems very qualified, but he hasn't coached in the SEC as an OC.
And, in business, even the best VP can be rendered ineffective by a CEO who does not use his talents.
Like others, I like the pick, but must wait and see...

1. It allows our OL to have a full time coach. I can see more of the complex blocking schemes being used going forward.
2. We have a proven QB coach with the type of credibility that comes with developing Rivers, Brees, Flacco. If he can't develop what we have, they can't be developed.
3. We have an expert play caller. I would expect that the opposing Ds will be caught out of position far more often than we have seen under Miles since 07.
4. More balance, play action on 1st down and usage of the TEs.

We might not lead the SEC in Offense but we'll be in the top 3 or 4 and I would estimate in the top 40 nationally.

As long as we don't turn it over, we'll be very hard to beat.

My point is that the OC really doesn't matter as long as Miles is involved. CC's presser confirmed Miles would continue to be involved in the offense and playcalling.

If Miles would leave the OC alone and allow him to do his job, like Chavis is allowed to do with the defense...then I would be excited.

Expect more of the same with a different guy wearing the OC headset.

To find someone who is as close to Les with his resume, it's a no brainer hire. Honestly, as laughably rudimentary as our offensive design has been the last few years, if CC can just be a competent SEC OC, we should be in great shape.

No one knows...really. He will find it different than he remembers coaching with Miles. Miles is very hardheaded and so is Cam....I do not see this lasting very long with Cam going back to NFL after a year or two.
