What did you have to do for extra drinking money while at LSU?

I used to sell my plasma a few days a week at that blood center not too far off campus. I think I would get about $100 bucks a week. I could easily get drunk for under $20 a Fred's. Of course that was after pre-partying and buying a lot of Fred's famous $1 shots after midnight.

I officiated high school basketball games. Roy Hill in the H&PE dept got some of us each year to train and become officials and I ended up doing it for 25 years while coaching softball.

Drinking money? I worked my arse off just to pay for my tuition, books and food. The idea of wasting any money going out drinking never entered my mind. You guys must’ve come from well to do families. lol

My parents had house accounts at a few places and I convinced the guys working to make it read like I was ordering cheeseburgers and club sandwiches when I was getting drunk.

My friend who worked at the five would swipe me in for meals like 3-4x a week for dinner when I lived in WCA on no meal plan and I would buy the pot, good times

Every Sunday night I retrieved golf balls out of the water at the LSU golf course to sell back to them Monday and cover the checks I wrote over the weekend at Murphys and Freds

Worked as a research assistant in weed science department (part of the Agriculture program), as a tutor. In grad school I worked as a research assistant for one of my professors and helped writ a book and a couple articles. Nothing sexy but it kept spare change in my pocket.
Between undergrad and going back, I worked at the French Market in New Orleans selling stuff on weekends and in a law office during the week.
