but have yet to see him sent on a blitz.

First and second teams didn't run too many blitzes. Possibly because they haven't fully installed blitz packages.

That said, our ability to cover on the edges will free up LBs and the nickel/dime to bring plenty of pressure. Gonna be fun to watch.

They came with a corner-nickle back blitz multiple times.

First time the "O" ran away from it for a nice gain. Every other time it resulted in a sack.

The most impressive thing I saw all game were the WRs CATCHING the ball and making plays.

Made the easy catch.Made the hard catch. Turned a little five yard out into a nice gain along the sideline.

Only noticed one drop of a catchable ball.

there is no secret playbook. what you see is what you get. what they ran today IS the offense.

Going into the summer there is no major things that must be address.

When your team finishes 106th in passing with the talent LSU has, I'd say that is a major thing that needs to be addressed.

Riley has proven himself to be a much stronger contributor than several others in his signing class rated above him.

As I recall, Riley didn't even get a commitable offer until a week or two before signing day.

Devin White played 2nd team RILB. He runs a sub 4.5. I am only in the second quarter watching the game but have yet to see him sent on a blitz. This post was edited on 4/16 at 9:04 pm

He wasn't in position to have a massive impact on the game, but you can definitely tell he belongs on the field early next season. He was able to run down Dupre from behind and tackle him on that long YAC play he had. How many ILBs do you think can do that?

Pretty impressive to have that kind of speed at that size. He and Beckwith together on the inside are going to be a problem for O Lines everywhere.

On the flip side of that if he doesn't take Riley's spot. O Lineman and coordinators are going to tee off on duke. He's still not a strong guy. He's very smart and if he can improve his strength he can be a nice part of this d. At this point though I think he's a liability. He will get keyed on and he will get run at. Hopefully he embraces the challenge and plays out of his mind.

The games last year in which we were spread-dominant are the ones we were destroyed in - so, not me.

Duke has had 4 years to earn his spot. Devin has had 3 months. Give the kid some time to adjust. My God, I bet you were one of those that said Fournette sucks because he couldn't start over Magee day one.

I only watched a couple of series but I saw McMillan check down and dump one off to the fullback. That was awesome. We'd be o.k. if he had to take the reins (Though it's absolutely excellent to have some depth). Kid's a gamer.

Etling looks better on the run than I expected.

Defense going to kill it.

I saw Duke Riley making the defensive calls and getting people into position. He won several team awards and seems to be Aranda's "guy"

I agree and a pleasant surprise considering he used to run with Manziel coming out of high school. I used to be worried he would get caught up in that kind of stuff.
