He was just making the point it's easier to call plays on first downs than 3rd and longs. You don't have to criticize every single statement he makes and look for the smallest thing to complain about.

Im not bashing him......well maybe I am. I just heard him say that he was very good at calling first down plays and this was in reference to the NC game I believe. Whay would he even say that after the arse whipping we got? Why is he calling 1st down plays anyway?

Two early false starts and a fumbled snap affect first down effectiveness. He admitted that in hindsight, if he knew then what he knows now he would have different calls. Get over it. Move on. You're late to the pitty party.
