What current OL or TE has the potential to switch to D Line?

We've seen cases in the past where an OL or TE was asked to make the switch to DL (or DL to OL) to address issues with depth. With a potentially thin DL this year and a new DC who likes to use multiple fronts, who do we have who is buried on the depth chart on the offensive side who could possibly earn some playing time with coach O?

I'd like to see what Boutte could do at DT...especially in goal line situations. The guy just mauls the shite out of people everytime I've seen him play.

Garrett Brumfield would come in for goal line defensive situations in highschool. If it came to it I could see him playing some DT

Of course I'm serious. Marcus Spears came to LSU as a TE. I'm not suggesting that anyone on the current roster has that level of talent, Spears was a special player, but there are guys on the current roster who have potential who are not likely to see much playing time at their current positions, and LSU could use more depth on the D line.

I just don't see where we are lacking depth at Dline enough to transition offensive players over. I'd agree that we dont have the level of talent depth wise, but I believe we will be fine. We just need guys at DT to step up and the same at DE. However, to give you an answer, I could see Jacory being a DE. Outside of him, I dont see any DL men on our OL worth making the transition. Who are you thinking?

If they haven't already started the transition it's probably too late to start now and expect results this year.

Someone asked which TE could play DE and it was an epic fail of a post.
