Sounded like he said we will implement our defense also on the coaches show...I'm thinking maybe more aggressive? He also alluded to turning #49 loose on qbs

I think a caller posed that question and he seemed to agree without saying anything bad

Possibly letting Arden play like he did last season. Im guessing he wont be told to drop back into coverage much and just be a hand in the ground monster.

Arden Key already has more sacks through 4 games (6.5) than he did all last season (5.0). I hope they let him keep playing the way he is.

THIS. Don't change a damn thing with Key.

Aranda is still adding to his defense. He has already shown 4-3 looks. I expect to see more blitz packages, but expected that anyway. It is not like the defense is the problem. Mizzou's passing game is probably their toughest opponent up to this point. Turning them over is the key as both losses by Mizzou were basically because of turnovers.

Less zone coverage, hopefully. LSU's secondary is not a fit for zone. They have way too many busts.

The way I took what he said was this might be tweaks he wants to make on defense...may have read it wrong though

More man coverage as Aranda continues to add dimensions each week. This should allow more blitzing from the inside backers. Look for the LSU sack totals to continue to mount, eventually reaching a record pace.

Saw the video of practice yesterday, looked quick and strong coming out of breaks. He should be good to go.

The secondary has looked terrible in stretches and the interior line play has been nearly nonexistent all season. Finding someone to anchor the middle and drilling in on assignments in the secondary will do wonders for keeping our opponents out of scoring field position.

By the way, for you folks that think giving up 6 field goals is great defense, that is one of the stupidest positions I have ever heard on this site.

Man I hope so. I'm a firm believer in pressuring the qb

Holding a team under 20 points including zero touchdowns, turnover on downs, ect is great defense considering how long they were on the field

All but one was within 37 yards. LSU gave up a load of yards to let them get that close on that many trips down. LSU got lucky to keep Auburn out of the endzone with several of those along with a lucky break when Auburn didn't score on the goalline.

Bend but don't break defense never works out in the long run. LSU must both find a way to give the defense a blow now and then on offense, but also they must force the opposing offense to the bench themselves other than giving up scores (3 or 7).

just playing devils advocate here, but LSU also gave up nearly 400 yards and made White Sean look like a pretty good QB (19/26, 240, 0 INTs)

Our offense has sucked so bad though. Not sustaining drives early is terrible on a defense
