I totally agree. I said this this a few weeks ago while tailgating at the baseball game, you can see it, it doesn't match at all. It looks terrible from a distance. Looks like 3 or 4 different designs.

I thought the Sound Endzone design could have been a little truer to the original architecture. The arches aren't identical and the concrete is too white, but overall it looks good and its a huge improvement over what it used to look like. But the big arse blank white wall is just awful.
Hang a promotional banner with a player on it, put Tiger Stadium/Death Valley signage up or make it a championship wall like A&M has.
I know the wall doesn't face much of anything but it just looks so plain and is begging for something to decorate it.

I have no idea if it's true or not, but a friend once told me we took Alabama's exact end zone seating plan blue prints to save money. Same design, capacity, etc. Again, could just be an urban legend (kinda sounds like it might be)
ETA: After looking at pictures of Bryant-Denny there's no way in hell that's true unless they renovated their stadium since then.
on that same note, school freely borrow from each other to get ideas. I was in a TAF office one time and saw the fund raising plans for Utah State and UNLV. I ask, "what's that about." I was told, "athletic organization typically share ideas". I guess it makes sense given that each school has its own customers.

Agree , the Tiger Stadium has been butchered...

First, tear down the ugly Athletic Office building in the parking lot in front of Tiger Stadium. What a terrible look to put that 6 story monolithic building in front of the stadium. Secondly, take out those 1980's box TV's in the concourses and put in flat screen TV's. Lastly, we are stuck with a turd of the former, architecturally significant stadium.

The south end expansion hid some of the design sins of the upper decks...
I love the look of the stadium now..sure it's not perfect and somethings we wish we could "remodel"..
As a fan, I am proud of Tiger Stadium..
If money grew on trees we could all change it but hey...be grateful Tiger Stadium is often ranked #1 of all venues to play football...
Amazing it only get used 8 times a year...

Nothing. We don't have the $$$ to fire the football coach let alone spend multi-million on fixing the way the stadium looks.
If we did have the money than tear down the west and east side upper decks and rebuild them to look like south endzone upper deck. That would be the only way to get a consistent look on the exterior.

Now, IMO it looks like they designed the South endzone to be able to wrap around and get back to the original design. But it takes time
It does look like they could just extend the facade over the west side and build another glass wall thingy over the ramps. Maybe I am just trying too hard to invision it, but it looks like they could just reroute south stadium drive through the parking lot.
Is it just me or from that angle does it look like Middleton is a big arse parking garage in the middle of campus?

Speaking of different designs, you can't tell me Tiger Stadium looks worse than THIS:

Middleton librabry has always pissed me off. Not only is it ugly and dated Architecturally, but the quad was originally formed in the shape of a cross and they stuck that ugly POS right in the intersection of it cutting off the 3 short ends.

Nothing. Its a football stadium. Not a beauty contest. Fine the way it is.
