I don't care what other grown men do for entertainment as long as they aren't bothering anybody.

But I've never understood the desire to dress like a pimp as a grown man witha job and family. Belligerent college kid? Sure.

But whatever, to each his own.

That guy's name was Eddie and I had an art class with him. He was a cool dude. That was like 2002. No way I could tell you his last name.

They disbanded to form a more professional and tasteful club, the 610 Stompers.

Sadly, Tiger Pimp Nation is on sabbatical for the 2012 season. Cholly Mac Daddy explained that LSU’s loss to Alabama in the BCS title game put a hurting on the group and they opted to sit this year out and recharge their batteries for 2013. Needless to say, the last-minute, 21-17 loss to Alabama again on Saturday wasn’t easy on the group either.

Damn Bandwagoners. They'll be back next season when we're in the title hunt.

I think I recall that "LSUpimp," a frequent poli board poster some of you may recognize, was in that group. My recall could be fuzzy, but I think there were some threads a few years back where posters railed on "the pimps" for various sartorial sins while others said it was all in good fun. While not my over-sized chalice of Crown, they did appear to be having a good time.

I tend to agree, I was under the impression that the pimp guys were just a bunch of fart kids who thought it would be funny to dress up and go to games, in an ironic sort of way. Didn't realize they were grown men.

Bunch were (are) lawyers.

Just trying to have fun and be intentionally classless (but good natured).

I know a number of them. I suspect that while they may have suspended operations after the debacle in the dome, the current climate regarding anything that could be remotely seen as racist, coupled with their desires to maintain their licenses, is probably part of the reason they have not come back.

Nope. Five or six times a year though somebody insists I'm part of that crew. Another half dozen times some undergrad fresh from his Womyn's Studies Class lectures me on the evils of the exploitative Patriarchal system. I just choose the name because the USC fans circa 2003 kept telling me to go to this new board "Tiger Droppings" and "pimp LSU there"...and a moniker was born.

I always thought the whole concept and their act was pretty trashy and looked poorly upon.. but to each their own.

The fact that they are attorneys as a few have alleged makes me cringe. I can't shake the image of Morris Bart in purple leopard with a cane.

Not sure why anyone would have a problem with them. Grown men having fun, where does anyone have a problem with this?
