I'm not sure about Jones, but I think we'll see a lot of Jrs from all teams leave this year because of the salary cap in the NFL for the 2010-2011 season.

Change the subject to say MLB and you have a legitimate question.

Yeah I think MLB is the way he will be going...He's always liked baseball more

so lets drop the last 3 words of the question and have it just read:

0. his draft stock is not good at all. He hasn't shown much in terms of being able to play in a coverage scheme.

Unfortunately, enjoy Chad this year on the football field, it will be his last for the Tigers. He will be drafted high in either MLB or the NFL. He'll have to make a decision about football or baseball because the NFL will not draft him in the first round ( where he'll go) unless he makes a solid commitment to the NFL.

He has not done anything yet to be drafted in the first round of the NFL. He would have to declare sometime in January and give up baseball. I seriously doubt that happens this year.
If anything, I can see him doing what Mitchell did by skipping spring practice. He can always return to football in the fall if he doesn't like his draft position.

I see him more as an outside linebacker

Dreads of Doom aint going no where. He is gonna return to the baseball field where he is going to start in right field, bat .350 with 15 homers, 75 rbis, and come in out of the bull pen for 8 saves

If you plan on him getting 75 RBIs, he won't be getting those sitting in the bullpen waiting for the call.

Only time will tell. If he continues to have a solid year, Im sure he will consult with some NFL folks and see where his stock is. If he's a first rounder he'd be dumb to stay.
Im not like Pete Carroll, if the kid's ready, let him go make his money. That can only help with recruiting imo.
