McIlhenny family! aka TOBASCO and all of it's hundreds of millions in sales each year worldwide.
I'm sure LSU bent over backwards to keep him here and keep the Tobasco donations coming in.
His dad played ball at UL and was nuts (not sure if they even cared about GPA's back then)

I know this kid's family, both sides. If the McIlheny family is donating to LSU, it's not the reason why he has a scholarship. I have known his dad since HS and went to UL with him. He wasn't "nuts" in any way. Wes' mom and dad are good people. The kid apparently made some mistakes and now he's paying for them.
With his talent and the ties on mom's side, I wouldn't be surprised to see him at ULL in the future.
