i dont understand the people complaining about the return of the full stripes.
most have been wanting them back since they went away (2002 or so)
how can you be against them going back to what they should look like?

When I went to LSU we had purple & gold! Not yellow & gold. Every one has an opinion but I think our new uni''s suck.

I didn't mind the stripes. My issue with the numbers was purely functional. Because the numbers were smaller, a few creases in the jersey make the numbers hard to decipher; I noticed Mett's #8 turned into a zero at one point. The larger numbers gave a more consistent presentation. If they are going to keep the new font, they should enlarge it a little.

wait wait wait... I noticed funny looking numbers but did not even notice we were wearing a "new uniform". Did not notice because obviously I have not been on this site in some time or I would have seen this. Does anyone have a picture of the new changes?

I'd complain about the numbers, but I like the old stripes that this uni brought back. Makes us that more traditional IMO. Hate the numbers. It looked cartoonish on tv, like pac man ghost numbers lol (Sam's 99 looked like that lol)

Most non-LSU fans won't even notice the stripe difference. I loved that part.
The numbers looked opposite of traditional. They looked ugly and futuristic. That shite needs to go away.

Not late sixties, more like mid 70's and not for very long. Charles Alexander years, we wore them. He even had tear away jersies without stripes.
I got a bunch of Ga Tech jerseys that had been torn after a Tulane-Tech game one time and got some sewed up. They were basically T-Shirts.

I'm glad to see us try to freshen the uniforms. We're in dire need of that. The new stripes look fine to me and much closer to the old days when I was a kid and the stripes completely went around the sleeve.
The shade of purple on the jersey isn't even close to matching the purple on the helmet.
And don't even get me started on the helmet - the letters are ancient (they look like electrical tape) and aren't the new Geaux font which is used everywhere else. And the tiger head on the helmet is just completely unrecognizable.
I want to keep the traditional look, but let's freshen it all up a bit.

The stripes suck. I know they use to have them but that doesn't make me have to like them. The best stripes were on the 07 Tulane game jersey.

I think it would be great if we could replicate the Cincinnati Bengals unis and helmets with our purple and gold. That would be awesome.
