Which is also saying that they were tired of seeing Jefferson, right? So wouldn't that mean they were booing the fact that Jefferson was on the field? How is that different from booing Jefferson?

Not trying to justify anyone actions, but this is the way I see it.

I did not boo, but I view the boos as negative criticism of Miles' decisions. JJ was not getting it done. Everyone in the stadium saw that, and everyone in the stadium saw Miles continuously putting him in and destroying his confidence. JJ's body language told everyone that he just did not have it Saturday. In order to preserve his confidence and potentially improve the offense, JL should have went in. People booed the decision to continuously let JJ play, but 99.9% of the fans in that stadium would say that JJ was playing as hard as he could. His effort is not in question. No one is saying he is a bad kid. They are simply expressing their displeasure with the situation that Miles and co. put JJ in.

Whether booing is the best way to do that is another story.

I find it hilarious people are trying to say this. Let's see...
JJ in the game: boos.
JL put in the game: cheers.
JJ back in the game: boos.

I wonder what they might have been booing.

The fans in the stadium are tired of JJ. They are also tired of the option (obviously not on JJ). They are also tired of when JJ does actually throws the ball, the receivers drop the ball (our 3 passes of the last series of the first half). They are really tired of JJ throwing to receivers' feet. Did I mention they're tired of the option

That is the ugliest version of the option I have ever seem. I do believe we could put some gorillas out there and they could run it better.

On TV it seemed like the boos were for the coaches.

The announcers made comments about it - they thought the booing was directed toward play-calling.

There were two third down passes thrown 2-3 yards too short for the first. One was booed, the other was not. The coaches called both plays. So you tell me, were people booing the players or the coaches?

On 3rd and 12 at midfield, and a running play is called and the boooo's come out, thats booing the play call!!! If a pass thrown over the middle is skipped 2-3 yards short of the receiver and the booo's come out, I'm thinking that is booing the QB!!!!!

If you read this thread and see the multiple opinions of why people booed it should be obvious why it is a bad thing to do.

I was there Saturday night and people were booing the play calling some, but there is no doubt they were booing JJ after he skipped back to back passes off the ground.

Having said that, as a tiger fan you will never catch me booing anyone wearing that uniform, no matter how poorly they perform. I think it looks bad on fans as a whole when you boo your own team. I would like to see Lee in there just as badly as anyone, but that doesn't give us the right to boo JJ.

For everyone who says they were booing the play calling

Lets see last week people bitched we did not throw the ball.

So they call back to back passing plays which JJ throws miserably short on and the boos rained down...

But they are booing the coachs playcalling ?

They called the passing plays everyone was asking for..

they are going to keep saying it til it is true.

Funny how now everyone that is now realizing how big of a fool they were is now saying "but, but, but it was the coaches"

there were times it was pretty obvious that they were booing Jefferson directly. you didn't see that?

ETA: hilarious reading this thread and watching everyone try to justify booing JJ by saying they were booing the coaches decision to play him

I heard at least three different sets. One was clearly play calling-it was an option play. The other two, which were way louder, were 100% directed at JJ. It's not even debatable. Section 301.

It doesn't matter who they thought they were booing. I think everyone saw that it had a negative effect on Jefferson's play. Those last two passes were terrible and they took place right after the booing started in earnest. Keep trying to justify this bs....
