•Nuss first year starting and new OC
•New DC and whole defensive staff

We are starting to build depth and get back to good contributors on the team. 2024 will be tough. New systems for both sides of the ball and new players. Nuss 1st year starting so he’ll have to grow. All across the nation it’s really the 2nd year where veteran QBs grasp the offense and run offenses to their maximum potential.

Defense will have some new faces and still needs a bit of depth. New coaches at pretty much all positions and a new system will need to be implemented.

Everyone including Brian Kelly mentioned year 3 (2024) is the big year, but I believe it’s ok to push that back to 2025. Nuss will be in his 2nd year of starting, defense will be implemented, and depth will be most likely top notch. Expect LSU to be in the 12 team playoff in 2025.

Defensive growing pains would be a great improvement over the slow death we have been experiencing

I think the offense will look/be good from the get.

Defense? Has got to be better than this year.

Exactly. I think the new DC will implement a decent base scheme and we will be better, but the technicalities is where we’ll be learning.

I think for both offense and defense, year 2 (2025) is where we are really going to start cookin!

I don't think we will be perfect on offense but a good OL, competent WRs, good RBs and Nussmeier will be plenty to win. I trust Kelly will have that side humming along.

Any type of anything will be great on defense.

i think it can’t be said how much having that howl under his belt will help Nuss with next year.

I’ll bet you right now we don’t experience growing pains on defense

And offense? We gave a great situation

Yes we will take a back step from the best offense in college football

But we will be damn good.

Nuss is going to be fine. We still have the makings of a top 10-20 offense next season.

Defense can’t be any worse
Offense can still be good even while taking a step back. OL still loaded, skill players loaded and Nuss is talented.

LSU can make the playoff in 2024. In 2025 I’d say it’s expected
