of course I don't believe

eta: but for the last 5 years a decent portion of lsu posters have been saying this with any mention of 10 wins being a decent season.

I understand how hard it is to win 9 games every year for a 5 year period.

from 2009- 2013 only 4 programs in cfb were able to win at least 9 games every year and we were one of them

Well I can't argue with that.

I'm just ready to get the season started.

Etling was a 4 star, and a hell of a lot better than Harris...so there's that...and Harris could have gone anywhere

LMAO

Harris 53.4% 2158 yards 13 TDs 6 ints 7.8 ypa, 226 rush yards 4 TDs 12 games no FCS

Etling 59.5% 2123 yards 11 TDs 5 ints 7.9 ypa, 46 rush yards 1 TD, 11 games including FCS

Etling didn't score once vs UF or Bama, yet Harris scored 3 times passing.

Really wish Harris wasn't pulled so you guys can see just how much better he would have been without Cam and Miles constricting him. Also, the Wisconsin game, where he played in Wisconsin, was vs a defense that finished in the top 7 in total and top 5 in scoring. Etling did no better vs Jacksonville St going 6/14 100 yards 1 TD 1 int.

This really sucks because Harris could have been great in a Canada type offense and that would have given LSU the experienced playmaker at QB they needed.

Harris was pulled because he buckled. He panicked and made errant throws. At the time, Miles had told everyone that changes would be made to the offense. But no changes were made in the passing game. Or very little changes were made, I should say.

Harris wasn't getting it done so he went to Etling in the Jacksonville State game. It wasn't enough of a change for Miles to remain at LSU (relax Rick ) but I digress, Etling is smarter at reading the defenses, he can take hits, he's a tough guy.

Not a knock on Harris because I liked him as well but Etling is just better than Harris was. Does that mean I'm saying Etling is Joe Montana, heck no.

A change had to be made at QB.

His transferring tells me that he knew he was beat out of the position. Again, not a shot at the kid, I wish him well.

Not quite sure why you think Etling is so horrible.

Care to revise your predictions anyone? Looks like we'll be lucky to get 8 wins now.
