All these excuses sound similar to the ones used to support Les Miles' offenses.

Uh. no. I'm pretty sure there were many Les Miles games we barely won and we only threw the ball 20 times or less.

The difference is we've had absolutely no need to throw the ball at all in the late 3rd or 4th quarter in either game we've had so far. If you're up by 3+ scores late i nthe game, why would you continue to just run your offense and throw the football?

Ask aTm how that worked out against UCLA when they went up 44-10 in the 3rd quarter.

I have no issue with it. I had no issue with running the ball in the past. Just don't get predictable when you do it.

People thinking Canada was going to come in and turn LSU into qbu was just wishful thinking.

And like others have said. If we hired an OC and he came in and didn't give the ball to guice, then he wouldn't last ling here.

That was true in a lot of Les Miles coached games as well.

But we also have 10 years worth of sec games against good opponents to go off of. Something coach O and Canada haven't had yet.

So we had to resort to taking what the defense allowed us even against Chattanooga? Nah, I don't believe that. At least I hope not, LOL.

This makes a lot more sense:

I would add to this that it is also very likely that Canada wants to get our backs and OL comfortable with the new blocking scheme and how to read the blocks. The new scheme requires the back to be more patient and read off the blocks vs just hitting the hole. It will take time for our backs to get used to it.

I was downvote #112. Does the fact that you got that many mean anything to you?

I believe I will stick to trusting an OC with a proven track record that is paid over $1 million a year over some madden playing "expert".

If we don't have to pass, then don't. Way more things can go wrong.

Not as lame and tired as posters who don't understand football.

Didn't you make a few shitty threads last week after the game? Keep your shite thread quota limited to immediately after games, thanks.

Anyone who isn't concerned that our passing offense ranks 79th in the nation after playing two bad teams has their head stuck in the sand or somewhere. I mean shite, we completed nine passes against a bad FCS team.

Is O holding the offense back? Surely "Air Canada" cant be content with completing an average of 12 passes against bad teams.

Lets hope we unleash the air game this weekend.

those 9 passes went for more yards than all but like 1 game last year.

It rated in efficiency as a top 15 performance.

You can't be this dumb. These aren't excuses, they are explanations and they are valid.

Excuses are used to avoid responsibility for doing something wrong. LSU has won two games by an average margin of victory of 31 points.

Curley Hallman liked to throw in the 4th with big leads. Go find out where he's coaching and root for them

Winner. Until I see "Air Canada" and Etling air it out...the branding is suspect. Is Canada a definite upgrade over Miles/Cameron...ABSOLUTELY! Am I going to assume like the rest of you apologist that Air Canada is hiding his playbook for Bama...not a chance. You're an idiot if you believe that. Again, the answer could be personnel related. Maybe Canada will have to wait for Brennan to mature before he could unleash Air Canada. Maybe game flow dictated the conservative mindset Canada adopted. Regardless, he and Etling better get that passing game rolling some time sooner than 3rd and long against Bama or else they will own us again this year.

Up by 3+ TDs?

I know he went conservative too early in some games only up 14-17 points. But we're talking 4th quarter up 3-4 TDs here. You run the football.

If yardage is a big thing to you, LSU had over 500 yards of passing in O's first two games and one of those was SEC and we were working with a makeshift offense staff.

Look, I am happy with the wins even if the competition has been bad, but "Air Canada" I have yet to see.

Yes, they want what they want when they want it or they want to fire the coaches.

Period.
