Is it more acceptable to wear P&G to certain games (no matter the sport)?

I notice that almost EVERYONE wears P&G to football games, but only about half to a Baseball or Basketball game. Is there a reason for this?

Do our "comatose sports" fans feel it's not necessary?

I always sport the purple and gold if am attending an LSU Athletics event.

Some people just don't give a shite about attire regardless of the event or setting.

Some people wear shorts to church. Some people wear polo shirts to rock concerts. Some people wear sweat pants whenever they run errands. Different strokes for different folks.

For a sporting event, it only significantly bothers me if the 'fan' is wearing another team's apparel (e.g. Texas Longhorns shirt at LSU and Alabama game).

Any LSU event I wear P&G. Period.

Heck, when I go to away games I pick what I'm wearing which will conflict the most (Gold at Bama).

same here. i usually try to wear gold at all the road games because white is common for most teams and purple doesn't stand out from the home crowd sometimes.

Saw a dude decked out head to toe in Oklahoma gear at an LSU home football game last year.

Me and my gal wore LSU shirts to an Oklahoma game two years ago and boy did we get some nasty stares. That night we went to an Oklahoma St game and the fans loved us there. They kept asking us about Les Miles and telling us how he turned their program around. That was two completely different fan bases. It was like night and day the difference in the two fan bases.

Sorry if my LSU gear doesn't please you. Yeah, I have purple and Gold stuff. I also have logos printed on gray shirts, and well I have printed on just about every color available. I print a lot of my own stuff, this year I have been wearing a gray shirt with the new tiger face dyed on it to the basket ball games. I made some old school shirts for my wife and some of her friends with some of the older logo's, they look bad arse. Who cares if the body of the shirt is not purple or gold. There is no doubt who I am pulling for as I cheer while the other people around me are sitting down in their purple and gold gear.

I wear P&G to any LSU sporting event. I also got invited by an Aggie friend to the A&M - Rice game a couple of seasons ago at Kyle field. Wore a purple LSU shirt to that game too.
