We will not win anything next year

I like Les, but I have zero faith he will make appropriate adjustments to win.
I see absolutely nothing that would make me believe we win the West next year.
I bet Bama loses two games (Tenn and someone else), but LSU will lose to Bama and likely UF on the road and once again we don't compete for a championship.
Keep in mind that Les said that LF's class would "compete for multiple championships".
It was nice to see the support for Les and him carried off the field. He is a class guy for sure. But he is not an elite coach. Unfortunately for us there's not a lot of them around.
Anthony Macfarland encapsulated how I, and most of my fellow alums feel last night.
At this point a best case scenario for us is a great up and comer like Tom Herman accepting a head coach in waiting role and leading us to the promised land.
But we live in the real world and not some fantasy land where everyone has their dreams realized and unicorns and Pegasus roam freely.

Our highlight will be Lambeau. We will lose at Auburn and to Bama. Probably throw in another loss in there somewhere. Again, we are frickED.

We have a great motor, no overhaul needed

Is this the greatest melt ever on this board? I've never seen so little reasoning.

Why would you bet Bama loses to Tenn? Most bizarre part of your post....

but I guess what most people feel today after all this is that Coach Miles is a great man, and at the minimum, a very good coach. Then after you really looked at the situation, why make a change just to make a change when chances are you don't wind up with a better coach but perhaps a much worse one.

Even Saban adapted to a more balanced hurry up offense without abandoning the power running game, while still relying on great defense.

wouldn't throw in the towel just yet. We don't lose much off this team and offense will be improved plus we get Bama at home. I like our odds next season for a much improved team.

This is the same excuse every year.

I was off the Miles train after the 2010 Tennessee miracle.
Bama loses a lot next year and play Tennessee at Tenn next year. That's a huge rivalry and Jones has shown he can compete to win vs them with inferior talent. They will have a great team next year and make waves.
Miles will build up the Bama game too large once again and we will choke for 6 in a row.
It's much easier to just accept it now. Unless there is a major change in offensive and special teams coaching there is zero hope for LSU winning anything significant.
That is really what Les equates to at LSU--lack of hope. At least if your hope is for a championship. He has consistently shown zero ability to adjust midstream, zero ability to develop quarterbacks, and zero ability to win without an elite defense.
I'd rather win 8-10 than lose 8-10, but once you've won titles it's difficult to accept not even competing for them.

The Scarecrow will find a brain before that happens. Get ready for the same shite show next season.

OP:
Just give it up. All of your observations are completely justified and valid. However, your entire perspective is quite wrong. Let me tell you why.
Your observations and comments would be completely on point if LSU were a pro football team. LSU is NOT a pro football organization. It's not run like an NFL franchise. The expectations are not the same as one would see for an NFL team.
LSU football is an amateur football program where college kids play football in exchange for a free education and enough national exposure to give them a good shot at playing for the NFL one day.
Stop thinking of LSU football as some kind of pro football endeavor, because in the NFL, each team has one and only one goal -- to win the Superbowl. When an owner loses confidence in his Head Coach's ability to win the SB, the HC is fired.
The LSU football program does not exist solely to win National Championships. There are many other competing reasons and purposes for its existence, such as, mentoring young athletes, providing a football team that brings students and alumni together during the fall, representing LSU well and making money. Those are the main purposes of the LSU football program.
Any championships or awards are nice to have and very welcome, but, these accolades are ancillary indicia of success in football competition, but they are not indicators of how well LSU football does in those other, JUST AS IMPORTANT areas. Those other main areas that I mention are just as important, but, there are no trophies for mentoring a student, visiting a sick kid, being a respected and beloved part of the LSU community, and so forth.
So, stop expecting LSU football to be something it is not. It's an amateur sporting endeavor that represents a State University, not a pro football franchise.
There are a few college football programs that have the same demands that are placed on an NFL team, but, LSU is not one of those programs.

Let's not forget Ole Miss. It'll be a home game but that has made little difference the past few years. We can easily have 4-5 regular season losses next year unless significant changes are made.
