I wish it were different, but it's nice to have this problem. Atleast we aren't struggling to be a national seed like most of the conference.

Unfortunately our pitching drops off by a lot

Unless incoming class steps up pitching wise we we'll be in a bit if trouble

Right arm tightness for Walker put us in a horrible position. We finally had 3 quality starters to take to Omaha and the gods played their part.

With Walker and Gilbert? That's not much of a drop-off, especially if they can find a third starter.

Poche and Lange didn't come back to finish 2nd.
Kramer and Cole only came back to improve draft stock, don't listen to their bullshite "I came back for LSU" story.

Meh, I think we overachieved greatly the last 2 years. We have a terrible hitting team, terrible baserunning team, and a coach whose situational calls almost always hurt us instead of help us.

Outside of actual during inning coaching, Paul has probably had his best 2 years coaching these last 2 years. If he could hire someone he trusts to help with the pitching changes and offensive strategy, we will be back in Omaha for the foreseeable future.

Actually, I think PM still owes CLM a CWS ring, because without Chad Jones and Jared Mitchell, Paul wouldn't have his one championship.

How does this hurt more than Stony Brook? I'd rather make the finals then miss the World Series losing to an inferior team.

Evidently they did. Although Poche did leave #1 in wins Lange even finished #2 in strikeouts. BTW, Lange had to come back anyway.
