Growing up that was the game I went to more than any other game because people didn’t want to go the day after thanksgiving.

I have been lamenting that game all day. I always looked forward to the day after Thanksgiving…not so much the opponent, but definitely the game!

LSU fans never felt that Arkansas was a true rival in football. Not a season ending, bitter rival. Just your typical SEC West division rival.

I feel like it's a very millennial opinion, but I do agree. this was our black friday game growing up.
But at the same time, I dgaf about Arkansas, I loved the game because it felt special being on black Friday where there's only a handful of games.
I'd honestly love bringing back Tulane and making it thanksgiving week. Especially if they stay good.

As an alum since 72, I disagree. Once Tulane ended, the Ole Miss game was our only long time rival left. That Arkansas series had so many memorable games and neither team had any true rivals left until LSU and Bama really heated up but LSU would never take Auburn’s place.
So that left LSU - Arkansas. I personally loved those games the day after Thanksgiving.

I loved Arkansas on Fridays. Would eat myself to a coma Thanksgiving, then get some Black Friday shopping in early that morning (online) while also watching crazy people shop on all the news channels, then watch the game at 11 am.
