But it does not translate into runs. In years past, CPM would tweak the order and seemed to find one that worked. I have not seen many changes this year. Are there some changes that could help?

He's already made a shake up in the order for the weekend.

The issue is exacerbated by awful lineup construction. Cole Freeman has to hit ninth while white hot and no one else was getting hits because second leadoff man.

Duplantis should leadoff. And also cleanup. Matter of fact just clone Duplantis eight times.

Get ready for a long SEC... He is doing his best but understand that this year will be tough to stomach... Hell 8 of our starting 9 made their FIRST road SEC trip last week... We are rebuilding with great talent and potential... Of course potential means they haven't done it yet, but IT WILL GET BETTER!!!

Bro, this is worse than just a rebuilding year. This is worst LSU baseball team I've ever seen. That's not an exaggeration.

There's not as much potential as we are accustomed to, THAT'S the problem.

not me. of course, I've been watching LSU baseball since '69.

BUT, it's the worst team I've seen since the late '80's. that's 25 years. and I dare say they do not look like they are well coached. their base running is worse than most high school teams. whoever coaches that sucks.

Because LSU gets hits but very few doubles or triples. Lsu's lack of power simply means that Lsu has to put together more consecutive singles in order to score than if you have say a leadoff double and can score him with a single base hit.

The simple answer is a hit is not just a hit. Just because you hit a single and it looks good on the stat sheet doesn't mean it will translate into runs.

Basicly LSU has recruited a small ball team and it shows. LSU needs some power hitters bad. There just isn't much pop in the LSU lineup.

We know Paul manure sux he turned the greatest lsu teams into jokes of the world series so if he don't have the talent to back him up then he sucks. Maybe next year

Maybe we should play small ball?

That would require a willingness to call for bunt

Jordan Romero  BA .325 ab's 40 HR 3 RBI 11 SLG% .600 BB 10 OB% .451
The best SLG% and OB%, and with HALF the ab's still really close to everyone in RBI's except Beau who has 19 RBI's.

Don't bench your best hitter

The potential certainly hasn't appeared yet. You can't develop it if it ain't there so we may be in for a long dry spell.
