Fun fact.

LSU has had a top-50 offense twice (2 times) while Les Miles has been the head coach.

Miles has waited an awfully long time to get better. The '05, '06, '07 and '08 offenses were hovering in the 50's and 60's. Since then, it's been pretty bad.

I personally don't believe we will ever field another team capable of winning the NC until a wholesale change is made starting with Alleva at the top and including Miles and both coordinators.
Its like a cancer has attached itself to the program and no matter what is done to fix it...it comes back.
A fresh start with a total purging could create a sense of optimism moving forward but this will never happen.
The dark clouds will continue to hover.

While miles is probably making most of the on-field calls, it's Cameron's offense. Go watch tape of when he was the oc in Baltimore. It's the same damn vertical offense. It's stale, old fashioned and it sucks. The offense is predicated on big plays and attacking deep with low percentage throws. No matter who the QB is they're not going to be very efficient.

Why couldn't we run any bubble screens this year? With the speed guys and big bodied receivers blocking it would have been lethal.

As long as Les is the HC we will lose a minimum of three games. Les Miles thinks the offense is fine and just needs to be tweaked. He is totally incapable of changing his offensive philosophy. What's worse is that he says things like revamped and then lies the next day about saying it. The game passed him by a long time ago and he only keeps his head above water due to his ability to recruit.

Develop back-ups to come in and play

It's his job to find a solution

Not that this board is likely to understand context or perspective, but he just questioned the semantics of the question about a "serious overhaul". .

A complete overhaul would mean not handing the ball off to Fournette, which still needs to be done. It will just work a lot better if the passing is better. He didn't say, "everything is great, no need to change a thing."

Miles talked about changing the offense after the Ole Miss game. He talked about changing the offense AND staff changes after A&M.

Cameron is terrible, he has to go.

But sadly he won't. He'll hang around another year while Miles pledges to "have a want to change things up".

I'm pretty sure the "engine" he was referring too is Fournette.....and no, he doesn't need tweaking

This is what bothers me. Everyone is dogging on harriz, when he could actually be a really good QB. Folks forget how highly thought of he was coming out of George Whitfield camp. He said he was going to be the next jamies Winston.

I guarantee you urban meyer would have Harris lighting it up.

It's the scheme, not the players.

Georgia was able to cut ties with Mark Ritch. I don't see the difference.

The last time UGA won the SEC was in 2005. That's a pretty big difference.

Not happening. You all are deluding yourselves if you think miles is firing anyone. Cam and even Peveto are probably staying.

This was tried last week and LSU folded like a cheap lawn chair under the pressure.

I guarantee when its announced that Cam Cameron gets a extension on his contract and will be our OC next year because Miles says frick YOU Im not going to change.

This. My "WOW" moment is seeing people still calling for new OCs KNOWING nothing ever changes on offense.. If I were an OC I'd stay as FAR away from LSU as I possibly could.
