Actually more often than not you need 4/6 runs a game in Omaha to win it all...

4/6 runs? That's not exactly a lot of offense. If anything, it supports my point that good pitching (keeping a team below 4) will win games.

Also, it's a tournament where you need at least 2 Aces and a top 10 bullpen with a decent closer.

if poche lives up to his potential this year than we have that this year. Bugg and Broussard will be a scary 8 9 shut down for us this year.

With regards to good pitching and defense: we were all surprised at Moo State scoring 17 runs against a Vandy staff that was unhittable to us. Yet, in that game those same Vandy pitchers walked 9, hit 2 batters, and its defense committed 5 errors.

I'm saying that if this team could average 5 runs a game in conference(vs the blistering 1.72 we are currently) they would have a chance in Omaha.
