True. 2017 was supposed to be the Tigers year. Most of us knew we were too young last year but this year held so much promise. Whoever we get will have to rebuild for a couple of years.

I'm not seeing a huge drop off next year except at LB & DB.

OL - Losing Pocic sucks but Boutte not a big loss.
C - Dodd or Malone
G - Clapp & Tehuma w/ Brumfield & Campbell as backups
T - Westhersby & Chidi
I honestly think the OL is just as good or better next year b/c less guys playing out of position. (i. e. Tehuma @ tackle) & good depth.

DL is a year better w/ Key getting stronger, C. Lac. & Isiah Washington back from injury. Great depth on the DL.

Great young talent at WR & TE to offset loss of Dural & Jeter. (Hoping Dupre stays to improve stock.)

Losing Beckwith, Tre & Jamal is huge, but we have great young talent w/ D. White, Divinity, Savion Smith, Eric Monroe & Kristian Fulton (3 5* DB's & high 4* LB's w/ a year in Aranda's system).

I know Bama reloads every year, but they lose a lot this year. Allen, R. Foster, R. Anderson, T. Williams, Eddie Jackson, Tomlinson, Cam Rob, OJ Howard, Taylor (G), Dieter. Ridley is draft eligible as a SO & I wouldn't be surprised if Ardarius Stewart & D'Shawn Hand leave early. Maybe they'll go from unbeatable to just merely great.

Our defense will keep us in games next year.

DE-Herron/Isaiah Buggs
NT-Alexander/Gilmore/Valentine
DE-Lawrence/Lacotoure

Buck-Key
LB-Devin White
LB-Donnie Alexander
LB-Michael Divinity/Corey Thompson

CB-Donte Jackson
S-John Battle
S-Eric Monroe
CB-Kevin Toliver

I left a lot of guys off that list. Guys like Sci Martin, Kristian Fulton, Savion Smith, Jacoby Stevens, Tyler Shelvin, Ed Paris, these guys will play.

And offensively you bring back your QB, Guice, a lot of talent at WR, and the entire oline except Pocic. Those lineman with another year of getting stronger will be a lot more improved IMO.

We will miss Fournette, Adams, Godchaux, and Beckwith big time but I think that 2016 class is just as talented and will be ready to make some noise next year.

We will be slept on but will have one of the most talented teams in the nation, yet again.

That DL will be nasty next year & will help mask some deficiencies/inexperience at LB.

Donnie Alexander needs to gain a good 15 lbs. Bama has safeties bigger than him! I think both Rashan Thornton & Andre Anthony pass him up.

He will be. But I think we have some young guys waiting to get on the field that are SUPER talented. I think we could put Jackson in the role White is in now and maybe stick Savion Smith on the outside opposite Toliver. That secondary might be bigger and faster than this years

Being realistic.. on offense: Fournette has been hurt all season and Guice has shown that he will be elite. Dural and Dupre won't be sorely missed because they haven't been very productive. Pocic is a pretty big loss. Boutte/Jeter are guys who are easily replaceable.

Fournette showed out against Miss St, Wisconsin, Auburn, and Ole Miss, he hasn't been hurt "all season". He's missed a FCS squad, a 2-7 Mizzu shite show, and a pathetic 5-4 Southern Miss. Unless injured again he will continue to ball vs everybody else that wasn't named Bama. Guice will be elite.

Dural and Dupre will be better NFL WRs than they were college WRs, just watch. I love what the other guys bring to the table, but if coach O and Etling are still the guys in charge, it's going to continue to look like a shite show.

I agree on the blocking prospects.

Being realistic.. on defense: Beckwith, Adams, Tre White, Godchaux/Gilmore and Neal hurt. Bad. Riley has been hot and cold this season and Bower is serviceable but replaceable. Jamal Adams is a baller. Thankfully we have some absolute future stars coming of age to replace the big shoes we lose. Guys like Michael Divinity, Rashard Lawrence, and Ed Alexander.. big names and big talent.

I wouldn't consider Riley hot and cold, more like now that he's finally starting and getting a feel, he is blowing up! He has 53 tackles, 6.0 TFL, 1 int, and 0.5 sacks over the last 5 weeks. That would lead most teams in that time frame, I'm sure of it. Using those few stats as a basis for the rest of the season, he is on pace for 112 tackles and 11.0 TFL. He's doing that vs really good offenses too. Maybe Alexander can be that next forgotten about guy for his whole career that makes a name for himself next year.

The DL will have a learning curve as we are losing a lot of top, experienced talent. We need several guys like Herron and Clark to step up and youngins to play like veterans. Same goes for the LB group. Right now we are projected to lose 6 of our top 7 tacklers, and those numbers don't include Tre White who is a supreme lockdown corner.

Hopefully we get Herman next year, as I believe Lindsey Scott can be his Greg Ward with WAY more talent and help surrounding him.

Godchaux is 100% gone. My buddy was his high school coach and keeps in touch with him. Dude grew up in horrible conditions and also has a child he needs to provide for. Literally any money to him will be good

Next year will def be a rebuilding year. If we can pull off 8 wins I think it will be a positive. This was supposed to be our year.
