Next year will be painful. So whoever they hire will have a down year on their hands. Be interesting to see how this factors into the coaching search.

Yep. Our current team should have competed for a national championship, but lethargy and horrendous offensive game plan in the first 4 weeks took that chance away.

I'll be so deflated with next years young team if we retain Coach O.

Not only a young and rebuilding team instead of reloading like bama, we now have 5 SEC games on the road thanks to the Fricking Florida debacle and one neutral site game against BYU. AFter the build up for this year, yeah next year looks like a long season.

Everyone loses players every year

We still have serious talent that are gaining experience

Has there ever been another disaster where the net result was the visiting team losing a home game?

Oh well Florida sucks regardless

True but the three classes making up the sr jr and sophomore are legit.

They need direction.

Offense: Fournette, Dural, Pocic, Boutte, C. Jeter, and probably Dupre

Defense: Lewis Neal, Bower, Duke Riley, Tre White, Jamal Adams, Dwayne Thomas

Being realistic.. on offense: Fournette has been hurt all season and Guice has shown that he will be elite. Dural and Dupre won't be sorely missed because they haven't been very productive. Pocic is a pretty big loss. Boutte/Jeter are guys who are easily replaceable.

Being realistic.. on defense: Beckwith, Adams, Tre White, Godchaux/Gilmore and Neal hurt. Bad. Riley has been hot and cold this season and Bower is serviceable but replaceable. Jamal Adams is a baller. Thankfully we have some absolute future stars coming of age to replace the big shoes we lose. Guys like Michael Divinity, Rashard Lawrence, and Ed Alexander.. big names and big talent.

I just don't see our offense as losing much. There's very little talent there this season outside of the RB position. Combine that with year #2 of Aranda and some actual talent at NT.. I think the defense will be the best in the SEC.

Godchaux/Gilmore

Neither one of these guys is going to go high enough to warrant leaving early. Especially not Gilmore.

Well LSU has proven to do better, when they are not expected to well vs all the "hype" going in.

Yep and factor in the fact that we schit the bed in "the year" so now we've got nothing of any real consequence to look forward to for the rest of this season or next ....great!

Good times!

Not so fast! We have a LOT to play for:

1) Shutout the Hogs and retrieve the Golden Boot from Fat Bastard's underground lair.
2) Grab the Gators by the Foley and give 'em a preview of what Alabama will do in ATL.
3) Throw Monopoly money at the Aggies bench while DG5/LF7 rush for 500 yards.

We were never competing for a national title with our O-line, which really has been the big issue the last few years, though people want to point to the QB. Very few QB's would succeed against a team like bama with our current OL.

It's more about the leadership that we'll be losing. We have TONS of talent coming back. We'll need great leadership from the coaches to compensate.

Which is precisely why we need a coach that can make something out of nothing.

The talent will still be there. Stand a will have the defense top 20 of he comes back.

If jimbo or Herman come in and make the offense serviceable, it could still be a good year.

With coach O, it's probably 8 wins Tbh
