ive seen it said florida offered to pay our $1.5 million buyout. though i doubt its true, if it is, we really have no choice but to cancel that game, go to UF and FORCE the SEC to push the TAM game to saturday. they fricking owe us, its the least they can do.

obviously we lose a ton of revenue, the SEC should also demand Florida share the gate with us but im sure they wont.

i really see no other realistic option.

We shouldn't have to sacrifice for UF's ineptitude.

cbs has a contract with the SEC for that thanksgiving day game. do you know of any contingency clauses that would allow us to move it?

It's not even ineptitude. They did it on purpose.

If Tenn loses this weekend I promise you that will happen. We will have NO choice.

Or, we launch an all out media offensive to revise the SEC division champ rules given the extraordinary circumstances and LSU's willingness to play the game ANYWHERE, any day of its scheduled weekend, including Monday.

I agree with Hanigriff on this. I'd tell UF and the SEC to go screw themselves. I'd say no for every possible scenario they try to reschedule it under. Let's just be honest. More than likely, we aren't winning out. So it won't affect us.

But it could affect Tennessee. Then, maybe with someone else being screwed, things might change.

LSU doesn't need this game. And I'd imagine that as ticked off as Joe Alleva sounded at the lack of flexibility that UF and Jeremy Foley demonstrated, he isn't doing them any favors moving forward.

No we don't. Not saying that we definitely will not but Joe needs to make Sankey sweat. This is a clusterfrick the SEC office refused to step in and prevent. LSU shouldn't bail him out. Someone else can be a team player for once.

Exactly. Which is much worse than ineptitude imo.

LSU should demand to even consider this Florida compensate LSU for the South Alabama game --buyout and anticipated gate.LSU then demand the SEC get the A&M game moved to Saturday night.

If none of this transpires, screw you Foley.

so you'd rather get screwed by being 6-1 vs the possibility of 7-1?

Alleva said this was a "flat out lie".

Florida didn't want to play LSU at this time and the SEC Office allowed them to weasel out of it. Not exactly how a championship level program behaves.

I'm embarrassed for Florida. Would the Miami Hurricanes have pussied out like this? I don't think so.

Unless we win out to that point and the SEC has made no mention of modifying the rules for this season, then there is no reason to do it.
Unless Tennessee has dropped 2 and Florida is in position to go to the conference game. Then we go smash their shite in for fun.

No, we don't. Let the SEC twist in the wind and look like the jackasses they are for allowing this to happen. We can all hope that this circumstance results in someone winning the divesion on either side that didn't deserve it. In the end though, I doubt that will happen because the SEC refs will step in and make sure that Florida vs. LSU game is irrelevant by the time the season ends.

The most likely scenario is we are forced to play on the 19th and the A&M game isn't moved.

Then Alleva will go on Baton Rouge radio at 7:30 in the morning and sound frustrated while posters here talk about what a hardass he's being.

I'd say no and pray to god it back fires and UF gets in over Tennessee. I want the nation to see the Sankeys fuch up and I hope it cost him his job.

You're wrong.

Before yesterday, if LSU wins out in the SEC, they win the SEC West and go to Atlanta.

Today, if LSU wins out in the SEC, they are on their couches for the SECCG.

We still get screwed but the only way this happens is if Florida and the SEC give us about 6 million and move the A&M game to Saturday. We'd still have to play 3 sec road games in a row which is bs. If they are wavering on any of that screw em.
