Aranda must have really pissed off O while he was here. His jabs haven’t even been subtle. I’m not sure how he has remained so calm this season watching the worst defense in the history of this school.

Jon Heacock: 35th ranked defense
Jim Leonhard: hasn’t coached a game this season yet

Any more points I can dismantle with facts?

Better than the

Do you honestly think Pelini can turn it around to beat some of the teams we have left to play?

Not trying to get into a big argument, it's just a question. Because I haven't seen any indication that he can improvement his defense. It is his defense.

60 is lower than 48? That’s some interesting math

Such a ridiculous contract to give a guy to leave Youngstown State.

Shouldn't have been so all in on a guy so dated.

Better off hoping he turns it around, because I can't see how they eat that contract.

False: we are 48th in scoring defense in the country. We finished 27th last year with the “best defensive coordinator ever” in Dave Aranda.

Try again.

You're ridiculous to even begin to compare the two.

Aranda faced better ranked teams and the stats are misleading considering LSU gave up a ton of points and yards in two games that were never in doubt.. a good time to try different things out..

Bo has not had the luxury and we've face some really horrible teams and got destroyed..

So ridiculous to try and compare the two. Show me another D coordinator that holds Lawrence to 0 TDs passing, Etienne well under 100 yards rushing, and 1 for like 13 on 3rd down conversion. I doubt even Clemson's DC could have done that against Clemson's offense..

You actually think that??????????

We finished like 30th last year.

Guess where we are ranked this year? Hint, its not in the top 50.

Edit: just realized you quoted Coach O on that one. Now I think its a good post.

An LSU defense only being surpassed in sucking by the likes of UCFF and FMemphis is rock fricking bottom....

Just saying

Pirate King is an O cheerleader. Blaming Aranda for any and all shortcomings on the team was in the original binder. Only O and his minions would be openly gleeful about Aranda leaving while also trying to convince us that E was more critical to retain than Brady.

So who takes the fall?

You hit the nail on the head. Scott and Ed.

Ed gets credit for the piss poor selection. Scott gets credit for the insanely lucrative contract that everyone called extremely overpaid the day he was hired.

He was making 214k a year at Youngstown state and Woodward gave him a 3 year - 2.3/year fully guaranteed contract. That’s a fricking retarded contract and has to raise some concerns.

Should have started at 1 mil / 3 years and went to a max of 1.5.

Also these fully guaranteed contracts have to go. It should have been a buyout of 1 mil first year, 750k then 500k.

We could be out of this experiment for 2.5 this year but if we fire Bo now it’ll cost us 6.9.

It’s a pathetic excuse for a contract and anyone who defends Woodward over it is doing it because they hated Alleva that much

When did we give up record number of passing yards to a new HC and a transfer qb last year?

When did we give up 40 points to two bottom dwelling teams (both with new HC’s by the way) and lose?

When did we get off the bus last year looking confused and disoriented?

When did we fail to make ANY second half adjustments.

We could give up 50 to South Carolina and we’re not going to pay 7 million to fire a DC. It’s not happening

So ALL better than ours. Got it.

Bob Shoop: isnt even a DC this year

He’s the DC/Assistant HC at Kentucky, you know, the team that held that same mile leach record setting offense (at least against Pelini’s retarded arse) to 0 points.

quote:

Mike Elko: 60th ranked defense

I know another poster mentioned him but I will never hold him up as a standard.

quote:

Jim Leonhard: hasn’t coached a game this season yet

Wisconsin will finish better than we do

I agree. We need to wait and see when the economy returns if the donations dry up.

Edit: I was responding to the idiot above you that said we can’t afford it.

pelini has to take the fall, not so much because he doesn't know how to coach on the field, but because he has lowered morale on the team to such a low point that it won't recover. simply put, they hate him and orgeron has let it happen - for whatever reason.
