next week will be a test. I'm glad that we have our week off from bama though. after watching their D-Line last night, it's gonna be a battle with our O-Line like never before.

The biggest concern with the defense is depth. USC only moved the ball consistently on one drive (the first one) until the staff started going with wholesale subs after we got up 31-10. Then they went right through us twice. EMU and Syracuse also made a lot of hay against reserves, as the staff subbed more liberally throughout those games.

If Debo and Beckwith arent both on the field we struggle. Backup LB's have been bad and i dont know why White or KT2 didnt follow cooper wherever he lined up.

Defense has been outstanding except for a handful of busted plays. No one has cracked 300.

Yes. The reserves at LB and CB have been adventures, so far. Mills coming back should help, but we still need another LB to step forward and at least be serviceable.
Also, Steele has to get these guys to be more aware of offenses shuffling around and creating assignment mismatches. Thomas had no shot to cover Cooper yesterday, and it took an entire drive before that got fixed.

My goodness teams are going to move the ball once or twice a game on someone.. even on mighty Alabama..
I am just pleased we are holding opponents scoring down in the 1st half while we build a lead and we are not getting run all over..
