We were once a national powerhouse. We had a very good run with a head coach, who was almost tenured due to his previous success. Well with an incopentant front office we let our head coach hang around for too long, so the coaching and depth depleted and it became too late. We then make the wrong hire at head coach. The saddest part is the politics involved behind closed doors is what will make this rebuild, likes texas', very hard.

I think we're worse. I don't think they have a loss as bad as Troy at home.

I don't think it's going to get as bad as Texas here, O is going to go 3-9, and he Alleva are both going to be canned.

At least Texas was smart enough to make a good hire to try and fix their mistake. We just made our situation 10x worse

I understand the O dilemma (too much money right now), but if Aleva’s stupid arse still has a job by the end of this week I’m going to be livid.

Having three consecutive seasons with losing records would do much more than 12 million dollars of damage, folks need to realize that.

They lost to Maryland in their home opener with their shiny new, high profile coach. But I feel you, that's probably not as bad as Troy...

It's not. And they have recruited like shite for years. I mean, really bad.

Texas didn't have a player drafted one year. LSU is nowhere nearly as depleted as Texas. Les continued to recruit at a very high level.

Only thing we have in common with texas- we were really good, now we suck.

Charlie Strong turned out to be a bad hire but at least he was qualified. Very successful coordinator, won at Louisville.

Our on field talent is not depleted, yet. The coaching has been depleted for years. And that has started to take it's toll on recruiting and will continue until we get a REAL fresh start at the top!

Herman is a bad hire. You will see. You dodged a bullet there. LSU has injury and depth problems.

Losing to KU(arguably the worst p5 program) for the first time since ww2 is pretty damn bad.
