We need to beat every team in the West. Can we beat BAMA next year? We could. BAMA has a streak against us. but all streaks come to an end. what yall think?

Who's the QB? Because as of right now, LSU has a back up, clipboard holder, as a starter.

The rest of the roster is solid.

I wonder if the patriots were saying the same thing about Tom Brady when he came in for the injured Bledsoe

eta; Etling = Brady

kidding of course, but it would be nice

Bama's offense will be a heavy run oriented offense next season. Make them throw.
Follow Jimbo's lead in game one.

It shouldn't be about our defense against their offense. We should be fine there, just like this year.

It will be, yet again, our offense against their defense.

We get better players than them and require them to become workaholics in the weight room. Now that we have coaches in place, it is all about getting players.

We will be short KB. I really hope someone steps up to really shine in his absence (nb4 someone starts pimping D. White).

Also, Tre White will be gone, Duke Riley, Godchaux. That's a lot of talent missing. I have faith in Aranda though.

Long story short, we beat Bama by 10 next year. Everyone else by 40+. Sunshine pump in full effect.

Etling would be good enough if the line could pass protect vs a good D Line. They haven't been up to that challenge the last two years, especially at tackle.

The QB situation next year is still a question mark, but going forward we have legitimate reason to hope that the page is turning. Whoever shakes out of Scott, Brennan, and Narcisse in 2018 is going to be a legit SEC starting QB.

Recruit some big and fast linebackers to go with some big (and fast) down lineman. Problem solved.

Punch them in their fricking mouth and don't let up till the last whistle blows

And spread out the beefy front 7 with your athletes

Etling isn't beating AL.

You just can't beat AL down one man at the point of attack. That one extra defender is too athletic and well coached. He will play on Sundays.

You MUST make AL respect your QB as a viable running option. They have to be forced to dedicate a man at all times spying the QB. It keeps your numbers even at the point of attack and opens up passing lanes.

And on obvious passing downs, it discourages sending extra rushers due to your QB's scrambling ability when receivers are covered. Even a poor example of this, Jordan Jefferson, found a way to beat AL twice.

stronger on the offensive front. Next year we will have young receivers, I believe dupre and chark will enter the draft. A complimentary back for guice, because Williams has left me underwhelmed. #4 may be a solid backup but haven't seen him much on the field. Etling is okay when he has time......but we shall see who emerges from the qb derby in the spring and fall.

IMO You have to attack Bama's defense at multiple levels on every play. You run out of pass, you always sneak a TE out and you always have someone going deep. Make them defend to whole field.

Absolutely spot on!

You're not beating Alabama without a QB that can run when things break down. Their pass rush is too strong and fast. They need to be spread out and the LBs need to be taken out of the box and into coverage and away from the LOS. Hence the results of Alabama vs spread teams with a competent QB that can run and Nick Sabans whining about spread, open, fast pace offenses.

They're built to stop the run and pro style offenses. Which LSU has run for 10 years. Hence the results.
