We had 9 total yards of offense in the 4th quarter?

YEP and thats why I think if they overturned the PP INT, it would not have mattered.

I would have hoped that Crowton would have pulled something out his arse other than Lee throwing the uninterceptable sideline fade route that fades 7 yards out of bounds and 10 yards in front of any player.

I still want the opportunity.

We were totally unprepared to play our 2nd QB. I blame management. It's hard to hang this on JL. He had no timing with his receivers, and why should he. Running drills in practice and few plays with the #1's won't get you there. Again, I blame management for not playing him more in games when we had a chance.

Like a heavy dose of Ridley?

It was prime time to give him the ball..

That may be so, but that's terrible justification for the decision. Sacrificing a known for an unknown is illogical.

No sense in taking any chances, though.

So you would rather practice with the idea that "Our starter might get hurt. So lets have our backup take a large chunk of practice snaps from our young QB, who needs to get as many snaps as possible to learn his responsibilities?"

They were waiting on the pass, but not because of Scott going out - more like LSU had no timeouts left and needed to drive the length of the field at least once (twice at one point in the fourth).

Lee had several good passes get called back by penalties. Don't put this on him. With Scott out of the game, Bama loaded up the box and blitzed Lee.

There was really nothing we could do on offense at that point.

I was thinking the same thing...and I have yet to see a clear explanation as to why Jefferson never returned?

But hey, why abandon that formation that got LSU like 40 yards in 2 plays (right before that questionable false-start call)? They never ran it again!

The word concussion has been thrown around.

Yeah I still want the chance too. Anything could have happened. Maybe a blown coverage or some kind of penalty. Okay maybe not the penalty because there is no way in hell that we would get a call in our favor, but maybe there could have been a broken play or blown coverage...

In a game like that (especially with all the injuries), with a chance to win at the end is pretty much all you can ask for...These games have a tendency to end up that way...And that was denied...

So I agree, I would have liked to see LSU properly given the chance (since they earned it) to win as opposed to allowing Alabama a shot to end it.

Because we were denied the interception Al. Was able to burn more time and rack up 3 points that took it out of a touchdown to win game! The time lost hurt us the most. With the time left after interception we could of done a lot on offense and the defense couldn't just sit back and wait on the pass like what played out. With Ridley alone he could have scored on the drive with Tribdon as QB! Lol not to mention putting Shepard in.

I thought you guys' argument was that JL's quick thinking, quick release, leadership and awesome down field passing would, unlike JJ, overcome blitzes. That only JJ gets sacked, not JL.
