He left bc PM called him in the office and called him the P word and said that 2A players aren't good enough to play at LSU. A lot of other stuff. He needed the scholarship.

I agree. Yeah I knew I was missing someone. Aaron Johnson also from Dunham on the roster. Ziegler was a stud in high school just had some bad luck here. Wish it would've worked out for him at LSU.

Zeigler had to have Tommy John surgery and CPM told him that he would only have a spot on the team if he stayed on as a pitcher. Zeigler wanted to become a hitter as an alternative to sit out for less time after surgery. He went to ULM so that he would have options. Per Matt Moscona today.

Zeigler had to have Tommy John surgery and CPM told him that he would only have a spot on the team if he stayed on as a DH. Zeigler wanted to pitch so he went to ULM.
This was on CPM's interview right after the announcement...

When PM says stuff like this it makes me wonder. Why wouldn't he have kept Ziegler on and let him see if he could hit? Chad Jones had just made the leap from OF to P, so is it so hard to believe that the kid could have made the jump from P to OF? If it doesn't work out, let him go back to P the next year.
Sometimes PM's answers seem a little sugar-coated. Just say that you cut the kid when he got hurt and wish him the best.

LSU will win, but he won't get crushed. LSU doesn't have the firepower to crush him. Now once the bullpen comes in, different story.
