He's right. If we would have played in the Texas Bowl, it would have been our third time to play in Texas this year.

So? It's not like we sent 20k to that hell hole College Station. And the Wisky game was months ago.

We'da packed Houston.

Georgereymond I love you an personally know you. With that being said Wisconsin was sold out with thousands more lsu fans outside the stadium. I was also at the the a&m game and there was maybe 2k fans there. So I would only call it one game in Texas

You guys act like UT doesn't have a notational fan base. Notre Dame isn't what it used to be. Our bowl game should've been in houston

Of course you don't want to consider the fact that two Tennessee recruits will be committing potentially to LSU. Ugo Amadi is tomorrow. But going to Nashville is just a waste of time.

Don't trouble yourself. Nothing bothers this fan base anymore. Whatever happens happens it;s all good. Winning isn't everything. It isn't anything anymore.

####ty Bowl games don't matter anymore.
National TV exposure doesn't matter anymore.

Over paid under performing coaches don't matter anymore.

I guess the Soccer Moms really have won.

We wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

As long as everyone gets a participation trophy it's a good season.

Maybe next year we should just stop keeping score.

After all we have a Coach that crows about playing to second so what else can you expect...

If you DVR the game tomorrow since you have to work , then you can watch it over and over again.... and melt over and over again!

You can then be the Master-Melter!

I think there's miscommunication on my part. I would have LOVED to play Texas. Midtown would have been a blast and it's always great to whoop their arse. I'm also 100% sure we would have had a greater showing (in regards to fanbase attendance) in Houston. 8 pm > 2pm also.

However, the match-up we were slotted isn't too bad either. We sold our allotment, Notre Dame is a national brand, and this gives us an opportunity to broaden our brand. I know the Music City Bowl Commissioner really wanted LSU v. Notre Dame. He got what he wanted

I was merely stating that if we were chosen to play in the Texas Bowl, it would have been our third time to play in the state of Texas this year. Selfishly, I wanted LSU in Houston too; however believe the Nashville slotting is better for our program.

Have you ever left Louisiana? Notre Dame is one of the most prestigious universities in the country, with some of the highest admission standards. Graduates tend to be the leaders in business, government and education. People that do not work in chem plants and wish for days off at Christmas. These people are powerful enough to demand their off time. They are spread out all over the country. They are fanatically (some say religiously) devoted to the Golden Dome. You can bet your shrimp nets that they, their families and friends will be will be watching.

Then there is the famous "subway alumni". These are people that never went to ND but follow them just as strongly as the alums do. They are also all over the country and they will be cheering for their Irish in huge numbers throughout the country.

The national sports media loves the Domers so you can count on lots of press attention.

You need to understand that there is a big wide world outside of Louisiana. Yeah there really is. A game against Texas would be a regional snoozer to the rest of the country. A game against the team blessed by Touchdown Jesus will have plenty of viewers all over the country.

So stop your change your diaper and go to bed.

TigerGman has a point.

Alleva did screw with the schedule to get the Premier Game with Texas A&M at Thanksgiving. This moved the Ark game to right after the Bama game.

Ever wonder why Bama schedules a easy non-conference game after a tough conference opponent, usually after LSU? Because they understand how physical these games get and getting a week to heal a few bruises is a good idea.

Nope, not us. Give us Ark AFTER Bama.....then an off week. That was just stupid. So damn stupid we will do it AGAIN in 2015.

Let's just wait for tomorrow to see how many empty seats and the tv ratings compared to tonight

Why in the monkey hell do you care about that shite? A lot of the negative asses on here act out so bad that you'd think they'd refuse to watch LSU in any bowl game outside of the top six.

I wanted to watch a game where I wouldn't be bored out of my mind. Don't give a care about tv ratings since our game is on ESPN and against ND. That's a better matchup.

Texas getting their asses raped and us stomping ND kills two birds with one stone. It also aids in recruiting as well since we could pull in as many as 4 recruits from Tennessee in the next month or so.

Yeah it sucks, because will be like only LSU game in my history (58 years) won't be able to watch!
Unbelievable
Think will be a good game though, not like last ND runaway.
Oh well, guess DVR time

You mean this boring arse game, that I assume the very few that are watching, haven't turned it off yet?

Yeah, it's tearing up the ratings for sure.
