We can't even execute basic little league plays.

Kramer not moving up in the box right there sums up this team.

At what point do the players become responsible for this kind of dumb shite? Kramer has been playing baseball for probably 15-16 years. He has to know to get up in box and hunt the damn ball away from the plate. He shouldn't need a coach to tell him this at this point!

When you are trying to bunt to move the runners over you bunt. CPM is famous for calling bunt and taking it off. He also sends his guys to plate with option of bunt or take. He needs to tell them bunt or sit the bench and they will get it right.

I know the bunt or take sounds weird but I mean anything around the plate you bunt.

So at what point is the coach responsible for correcting the problem?
If it's not PM then should we blame his HS coach? Little League coach? Coaches pitch?

I'd like to think the man with a fulltime job making a million dollars a season would be more responsible for coaching his guy up than the others, but maybe I'm wrong. He's only had Kramer for four years.

The issue is all the players for LSU were the stars on their HS team and did not bunt very ofter or at all. CPM and hitting coaches need to find the guys that need to be team players at LSU and stars at LSU. Like last night Slaughter should not have batted with a right handed pitcher throwing 97 when you have 6 lefties on the bench.

CPM is not a very good situational coach. But he is a good front runner.

Never did understand the faction of fans who insist on blaming kids instead of the millionaire who's orders these kids are following.

I do too. I do not blame Slaughter at all but CPM put him in a bad situation R Pitcher vs Right Batter throwing 97

Exactly now of course if a player does something having to do with conduct or has some sort of emotional outburst that causes harm to the team that's on the player. But blaming guys like slaughter or Kramer for being in the wrong position in the box to execute a bunt is on the coach. He didn't lay down that bunt first pitch if he's in the wrong spot the coach had plenty of time to correct that. The problem is to CPM he wasn't in the wrong spot.

NO that is not what my point was. Go back and read the post its on the player and the Coach for not bunting. But they do not coach them up to play situational ball that is on the Coach. They have so much trouble bunting in situation and CPM must not stress the bunt in practice and that is on him.

The thing is there is plenty enough blame to go around. The truth is it is both of their faults. The coach for making some bad decisions but the players still have to execute.

Runner at third less than two outs for example. Not getting that runner in is on the player and his execution. Outside of calling for a bunt, which he could do, CPM can't do much else. That player needs to hit the ball in the outfield or in the ground if the infield is playing back. They know what needs to be done anyone playing the game as long as these guys have know that. Now go and do what needs to be done.
