We all know it's only a matter of time before he's gone, as he should be. But I got to thinking about how we take for granted how good a man he really was. All the sarcastic comments about how good of a man he is tells me most of you don't care about that. A lot of you would rather have joe paterno coaching LSU knowing full well what he has done in the past if it meant more wins. I agree his time is up but it shouldn't go down like it almost did last year. Les deserves more than that.

He was carried off the field last year, what do you mean he deserves better than last year?

I'd let Kim Jung coach this team if it means a National Championship

he did get more than that. He went from being fired to given another chance and he then went and spit on everyone who backed him. He had an entire offseason to change. You think after last year he would have. Then he comes out and gives that performance with a talented and seasoned team. He gets no sympathy here

I'm with you in this. He has done a lot for our program and university. He just can't adapt and keep us elite.

Well, most people thought Joe pa was a good man until the story broke. We don't know these people and what kind of person they are. Miles may be a Great man. he also may not be the man you think he is.

come on, man. LSU fans realize Les is a good guy. At this level of football, it's all about the product on the field.

All of our frustration is related to football. No rational person thinks Les is a bad guy.

Bad coach, too stubborn, unwilling to change, etc. But none of that makes him a bad person. We all know that.

He is well compensated.

No sympathy.

THIS. If he's gotta go, he should be shown more respect and more support on his way out.

It's rare these day for a HC to be effective for more than 6 or 7 years. UF and UTn have had 3 or for HCs in the past 12 years and they are still average at best.

The man is well compensated to win football games and championships.

WELL compensated.

So the choice is between a man who tolerated having a pedophile on his staff, and a man who refuses to make the changes that need to be made to win?

I'm not a LSU Alum, I graduated from another school. But I want LSU to win. I obviously don't know enough inside info to know what is going on, but the school and the State do not deserve this.

I don't know what it is, why LSU cannot close the deal when it comes to coaching hires. Or the few times they get excellent coaches, those coaches leave.

This state has way too much talent, one of the greatest fan bases in the country, and the most exciting place to play and watch a game, and it is stuck with having to settle for just good enough.

I don't understand why people think this. You do realize there are other "good guys" out there who also coach football. Noone is advocating bring in Joe Paterno. Surely you can see how that is a bit of a stretch?

WTF are you talking about? How many people do you know are carried out of their offices on the shoulders of their employees? How many do you know would've gotten 15 MILLION dollars severance?
THEN OF ALL THINGS, got a second chance and promised to change. He stuck his middle finger out at all of us. YOU enjoy your warm and fuzzier, the rest of us want a classy program that makes the University proud.
