I was watching the 2003 game when I saw the triva question for the game. "Why were all but 3 games in the LSU Ole Miss series played in Baton Rouge from 1936-1964?"

I immediately thought: The SEC commish during that time knew what he was doing. Frick you Florida.

I was waiting for an answer, but the video I'm watching either did not show the answer, or CBS totally forgot. I did not find an answer with a wiki and google search. I'm sure there are people in the rant that know the answer. Help me out here.

Verne said it during the game that they played in Jackson and split the profits because Ole Miss' stadium was too small.

Caught that, but they did play only 3 times out of TS in that span. I thought they were talking about playing in Jackson after that stretch.

Ole Miss and State for many years played big games in Jackson instead of their home stadiums because their stadiums were small. Ole Miss played in Baton Rouge because it was more profitable under the arrangement they had with LSU to play in Baton Rouge annually instead of home and home. We had similar arrangement with the Aggies for twenty years.
