He is really good. He was behind a Heisman winner and a damn good backup. So basically, he was getting zero practice reps. He didn't run, he just tried to move somewhere where it looked like he would get more reps to learn.Dart was thought to be done and would leave because of losing starting spot. But he stayed and did really well.
Now Ole Miss is loaded as well. Look for him to peak thru to #2 at some point. Kiff loves him

No idea. The kid wanted to play, and he and his family apparently thought he had a better chance at Ole Miss....I wish him all the best- except against us....

Brian Kelly came in and brought Jayden Daniels out of the portal. After that, he had to transfer. It very well could have worked out very different.

I think transferring was the right move for him, but I'm just wondering why he hasn't come close to becoming a starter elsewhere. Most 5 star QBs that don't win the starting job usually have a plethora of teams throwing money at them, but that doesn't appear to be the case with Howard.

Some people bring up Arch, but there is no comparison. Arch has the name recognition which has allowed him to benefit tremendously in NIL, even though I thought he was a 3-star at best.

I just hope he's not sticking around OM because he's dating Kiffin's daughter because that would be a horrible mistake!

He wasn't a starter until Caleb Holstein graduated. You're full of shite.

He was the third string at LSU, transferred to Ole Miss and was the third string there last year. He will presumably the backup there this year and would have presumably been the backup here this year. I think he was likely banking on Dart declaring after last year. But where he actually found himself was the same exact situation...being able to compete to start in 2025 at the earliest.

He needs to find a school he can play at.

Mid-level football is still fun and rewarding.

Absolutely!
No one knows how a recruit is going to mature, but judging from the projected LSU QBs for the next decade, it appears Howard and family made the correct choice. Nuss is our starter for the next couple of years. Then Collins, Hurley, and Underwood. Why the wailing about a young man who wants to play football, and made the apparent correct choice.

He's most certainly taller and bigger than Bryce Young and had good arm strength.

They're listed at a similar height and weight, but to me Bryce looked to be a lot more "built". I would bet neither is 6' tall even though listed as such. Neither of them are big for even average size QB in the SEC IMHO. And BTW Bryce was really good and a legit 5*. Walker, not so much, which has been proven at LSU and now OM...

Nuss is rated with the same odds as Jayden Daniels, at the beginning of last season, as a Heisman Contender.
Dart is the QB that led Ole Miss to a victory over LSU and is the 5th most likely to win the Heisman.

Fact is, all top-tier schools stack quarterbacks. They typically don’t start until they are juniors or seniors.

So, nothing is wrong with Howard…he just has to wait his turn.

Offensive line back in the late 50's.School you never heard of in another state.

But I'm not the guy calling a college level athlete a pussy, am I?

I respect those who have achieved more then I have.

I don't feel that shiting on someone who is better than I am will somehow, magically, make me better do I?

I'm the guy that respects those who are better.

More power to Howard. He's doing something I'll never do and I am assuming that those who are crapping on will never do either. He's doing what he feels is right for HIM.

this is just so wrong. Elite QBs start as freshmen and sophomores all over the country, and have for decades.

LSU picked Howard out of the probably best back to back qb class Louisiana has had in decades. 3 high 4/5 stars and an additional solid 4 star. That’s unheard of for LA and we put our eggs in the Howard basket which screwed us over for Holstein and Manning

Come on, man.

Arch Manning was NEVER going to come to LSU. NEVER

Irrelevant. That’s like saying you can’t say the food sucks at Waffle House because you’ve never owned a restaurant. Dumb logic. The food sucks.

Walker either didn’t want to compete or couldn’t beat out Nuss. I highly doubt it was the latter because there was plenty of time to hone his skills.

I know but he was a hit on the camp circuit as a freshman / sophomore. No need to get pissy because he's a STM kid. He was on the radar before he ever started a varsity game. He just plateaued.
