UGA/LSU 2003 in Death Valley
UGA coming off their first SEC Championship since the 80s, the all time winningest QB, Mark Richt who at the time had only lost 1 road game I think. I still have that Gameday recorded from the morning. One of the most decorative, highest motor running defensive players of all time was shut down.
That whole first half was spent on LSU's side of the field and the D just kept holding and holding. Billy Bennett one of the SEC's all time kickers who was automatic just kept missing. The voodoo of Tiger Stadium that day was at its best. 2nd half UGA hits the 90 yard screen for the TD, and you think this is where we lose our momentum, big kick return by Henderson, and a couple of nice passes get us into fg range. Then a rollout and a slip by the defender ends up with Green in the endzone

God, you just reminded me of how much I used to f*cking HATE listening to the media fawn all over that "yukin it up" good-timing country boy from GA!
I still can't really grow to like him even now bc of those days. Even though he is a decent commentator. The new HIV/AIDS looks he has now does help me get past it at times.
