Searching "MC" just gave me a lot of posts about Dwight McGlothern and one post where someone asked the same question but no one answered.

He was. At some point, the sign said DJ Kool Surname, which was pretty hilarious. Come on game day ops, get it together.

I noticed the MC once. She was clearly told that you can either yell or have a microphone, but not both. It was an improvement, elevating her performance from "hell on earth" to "absolutely should not be a part of any recreational activity, much less an LSU home game."

THe DJ was there, unfortunately. The only time I saw/heard the screeching mic girl was during the student field goal promotion.

They both were, but she was limited to announcing the people on the field that they were recognizing. Plus her microphone wasn't nearly as hot so it wasn't hurting your ears.

I was told by a couple of people who know such things that LSU definitely was lit up by irate fans via email for both the DJ and the girl....yet both of them returned.

Unfortunately, what I predicted about the chick came true...instead of eliminating her, they turned down her mike a little and called it a day.

The piped in music was toned down too

Don’t love it. But both were downplayed enough to where it’s maybe okay now. The emcee had her mic fixed so the one or two times she talked it was okay. Better job

LSU is known far and wide of having the best atmosphere anywhere. Does anyone know why LSU wants to make it more like every inferior atmosphere in the country, more specifically, though, like the sterile and terrible NFL atmospheres?

Your attendance issues at football aren't because you don't have a DJ and an MC to run quirky vignettes during tv stoppages.

I just want to know who on the coaching staff/in the athletic department this chick is banging to hold on to that gig. This topic has been discussed ad nauseam yet I have not seen a single person who thinks she adds to the stadium atmosphere in any way. Something's up

Yes, and with such compelling entertainment I think we can do away with TGBFT.

I didnt make it to the Grambling game, so I was curious to see what all the fuss was about. I didn't even notice they were there. Granted you can't hear shite in the South End Zone, but still.

They have always piped in rap music. Now, instead of it just starting and stopping, the DJ mixes it. He used very minimal effects and did not have a microphone so you never heard his voice. All in all, if they are going to play rap music, the DJ is much better than just pressing start and stop on the computer. Say what you want, but that music gets the students going and the players respond to it too.

There’s a Instagram video of LSU’s entire sideline absolutely hype when Supamike played the Louisiana National Anthem “Set it Off”.

She may have been signed to a multi year deal and doesn’t have to bang anybody to keep her job. I don’t know who she banged to get the initial contract. Maybe Woodward himself.

Can’t they just use cross fading in Music/itunes? If not that I am pretty sure there is an app to do this.

As far the students they are going to show and be loud or they aren’t which has been happening for decades. It’s not the music.

As far as players do they only play this music in the second half against Arkansas? If they start the game with this maybe it doesn’t help.

Saints games have been more rowdy than Tiger Stadium for years now baw.

Outside of 3-4 games the past 5-6 years, tiger stadium is basically dead outside of 1 or 2 series.

I agree with this. They didn’t try to focus on him getting the stadium “hype” which kept it from being so gay.

The girl wasn’t bad either. And I absolutely love the field goal attempts. Don’t know why but can’t get enough of amateurs getting a chance to try some shite in front of a huge crowd.
