I can see him having more 15 yard penalties for above the shoulder hits than interceptions

Interesting take on it. Kinda agree.

His interception return for a TD last year was a pleasant surprise though.

Wasn't it him with the Pick 6 on Lee in the Spring Game a couple years ago?

Think so. He also had a pick six in a game last year, but can't remember the opponent. Ran the ball back 100 yards and displayed excellent speed.

Injuries, I think.

I was at the game in Seattle in '09, was ready to see him and Russell Shepard tear it up but he got injured early in the game. (Loston) Hurt his thumb or his wrist, if I remember correctly.

I'm looking to see him have a great season. I really like him out on the field.

It was the end of the Moo State game, I'm pretty sure.

At the end of last year, he was playing at the highest level of any LSU safety on the team, and that includes Reid.

I really think it was injuries with him. Dang I hope this guy stays healthy this year, if for no other reason but to see if he lives up to the hype coming out of high school.

He had trouble grasping the playbook, that's a fact.

I actually agree, however I'm not sure he has the frame to be a LB in the NFL. Would be a great Chavis hybrid though in college.

He doesn't seem to play the ball in the air like other studs we've had. He reminds me more of a Laron Landry without the insane speed.

ETA:

His INTs were into his chest. He doesn't go up and get the ball at its highest point like a true ball hawker.

I don't know if you call it work ethic...

I percieved last year, that we had a lot of players who knew they were headed to the pros. Because of that it seemed they protected their bodies from possible injury and didn't play quite as hard. Especially after the Bama game.

The Clemson game was total self protection imho.

Loston's just a hitter, not real big on actual football skills. The big hitting lead to a lot of his injuries. Hey, it's fun to bring the thunder, but how about just make a solid fundamental tackle.

I'd say he's had a little bad luck with injury, but i also believeit goes hand in hand in that good work ethic can prevent injury. He's one of those guys that controls his own destiny. He can work hard and make it, or he can "get by" and vanish in a few years.
